I notice Fitbit and apple watch count steps when I ride on a motorcycle or washing my hair. I believe the shaking of your wrist and the wind make it seem as though your are taking steps. Therefore, I do not even count my exercise calories, I just up my daily calories from what MyFitnessPal suggest.

I use measuring cups. I also use containers and snack size ziploc bags to put my food in. Since I do not eat my exercise calories, this helps if I over measure something, but I try to be accurate majority of the time.

I notice when I eat more sweet deserts like the 100 calories packs, I tend to not lose weight. When I focus on more healthier non process foods and increase exercise and water intake. I lose weight.

Buy yourself a Fitbit tracker, I wear the Fitbit flex wristband. I have a goal of taking 10,000 steps a day. It sync with my iPhone so I know how many steps I've taken and helps me to move more.

I'm a walker, every since I broke two bones in my ankle and due to plates and screws I have in my left leg now, I cannot run because I do not have full bending range in my ankle. So walking is my best exercise.
