New and looking for encouragement

Hey - another newbie here - but not at all new to the struggle of trying to lose weight! I am a single mom (widow) with four busy teenagers. Been up and down many times in the past, but this time I really need to do it right! I started this journey back in January and I've lost 73lbs so far. I still need to lose another 127lbs - UGH. It's SO hard to feel excited when I have so much more to go, but I know that slow and steady wins the race. Anyway.... I just started on MFP about ten days ago and I love it! I track my food and exercise everyday, and I'm just starting to explore the message boards. I exercise every day and watch carbs religiously. Would love to make some new friends here!

    T4mommy did you figure out how to add friends yet? You go to "friends" and tap the + sign in corner, then you tap bottom option, then you type their user name in and send request. It's a bit clumsy if you ask me, there may be a faster way to do it, but I'm not sure what that is.
