  • Calories in Calories out is the way of life for me, it's all about sustainability for me, and realistically, I don't think I could avoid sugar, soda, or candy foreverrrrrr..I just eat moderately and train and eat happily.
  • My current "heavy" state Bench - 135 ( I can 2 dirty reps; failure on the 3rd) Squat - 225 (2 reps) OHP - 95lbs 2 reps before having to result to a push press..haha; 2 seems to be my magic number.
  • The person who is in the squat rack and instead of squatting, deadlifting, rack pulling, benching, over head pressing or whatever; does 6 sets of barbell curls, while side eyeing me, while I am burning a hole in the back of his skull waiting for the rack to be available. I could do something else, I usually do, but not…
  • Great job!!
  • I also hate wasting food, my mom tells me 1 cup of rice can feed a family of 5 in Cambodia (my home country) So I try my best to just finish it, even if it doesn't taste the best. But if it isn't absolutely horrible to the point it may make someone sick, I will take it out and give it to someone who needs a hot meal, so…
  • My mom just started working out with me, she's 50. Yesterday was literally her 2nd time ever setting foot in a gym, and when we walked on the treadmill, it seemed like she just completely forgot how to walk, and was having difficulty moving with the machine, even set to a speed of 1.5mph, so she held onto the rails for…
  • just learned I may have exercise induced asthma :o ..I have the same problem, I don't have any other irritants, just after a good session of hiit, the first thing I do is cough and feel like dying, but then it goes away...
  • @JenAndSome that is hilarious! My mom says something a long the same lines!! I'm like how in the world is something just going to fall out of me..and @Lizzy622 that is so true, many past generations did a lot of manual labor and lifting and it made them stronger overall, if anything I feel now that a sedentary lifestyle is…
  • Such an obvious difference, great job!! Throw out that scale!
  • OP you are a star! Great way in changing your way of thinking and going about this fitness and healthy stuff. Great job on taking advantage of every opportunity!
  • You look great! Congrats!! :)
  • this ^ But to the OP, people can use other photo's to be motivated, inspired, to continue on their fitness path. It doesn't mean she literally hopes to look like her. But with hard work and determination she can be a better version of herself. I admire the hell out of DLB, I even share some of her photos as "goals" but I…
  • Nicely done!
  • for me personally, I don't have a time to work out, I just get in where I fit in. But I do notice that after my work outs, I have excess energy for about 2-3hours, so if I finish my work out around 10pm, I find myself sleeping around 1-2am. SO if the 11pm sleep time is strict for you, I wouldn't suggest it, but that's just…
  • wonderful achievement! great job!

  • Wow great job!! And that's what I tell myself, just take 1 day at a time. If we look at the overall picture, some times it does get a little overwhelming, but just 1 day at a time and before you know it, it will be 365days behind you. Keep up the great work!

  • Thanks for the boost JoRocka! I tell myself that often.."it's YOU vs YOU" and no one else, nor should it be, but when in competition, you are literally asking to be judged and compared..lol, so it's a weird thing. But confidence is getting up there, and crap..your warm up is what I am hoping to work towards -_-..If I could…
  • Without text, don't know what's going on in this photo? Is it before or after? How long did it take? what did you do..sooooo many questions?!
  • Congratulations on this success Karen! Keep it up! :)
  • JoRocka senpai noticed me!! lol, thanks! it's taken me long enough to get here :| That's what I am telling myself, but then I get wrapped up in other people's weights and what they can do, and literally feel small again..but I will definitely attend to watch, the "if" is the sign up part, confidence issues and all. meh :/
  • Next target is 150lbs!..hope I can, thanks for the comment :)
  • No pills, but 1/2 and apple before bed helps me with late night sugary cravings, or a big glass of water, small salad or a few crackers before a meal helps as well.
  • I can lift a lot of weight for the "big 3" but I feel like I want to die when I have to do sprints or burpees; if anyone saw me they would think that it was my first work out EVER. I guess for ME, when I can maintain my lifts, but also do sprints without wanting to die is when I would consider myself "fit."
  • I'm sure he meant it as a compliment. If you like how you look, that is all that matters.
  • Yeah, are you running 8 miles DAILY?
  • I'm a sweaty mess, so dry shampoo doesn't help me. So I use conditioner when I wash, and use shampoo once or twice a week.
  • thank you!
  • that's awesome! congratulations! I hit a squat PR myself yesterday! yay for PR's!
  • Are you cutting out anything you used to drink or consume a lot of? Like caffeine or processed sugar? For me, I would drink 2 Coca Cola's a day and eat 1 candy bar of chocolate and also drink a sugary Starbucks drink, then when I went cold turkey and cut those out, in the beginning I had the worst headaches, after about 4…
