  • I agree with DancingMoosie...I only rest after lifting, not walking. But if you feel really tired and worn out the next day, by all means rest!

  • Yes, you're not alone! I'm building muscle and getting stronger and very proud of myself for that, BUT...the belly is disappointing. Like Azulvioleta6 said, though, "thank goodness bellies can be covered up!"
  • Do not undo all your hard work over a guy. In my experience, when people have accused me of being on a high horse it's either because I'm *right* and they don't want to face it, or because that person and I have different values. You will find a guy who shares your values.
  • I'm logging my food (I'm a night shift nurse), and then heading to the gym...it's VERY hard for me to get myself to go back out once I've gotten home in the morning, but I'm trying extra hard today. I keep telling myself "DON'T TAKE OFF YOUR SNEAKERS!!!" because once the shoes come off, I'm done for the day, LOL. I'm OK --…
  • I got a piercing when I lost my first 30 lbs, and I'm going to buy jewelry when I lose another 5 lbs...I'll probably keep buying jewelry every 5 lbs or so. I'm not rewarding myself with food because that kind of thinking is one of the things that got me in this shape to begin with ;-)
  • Veggies fresh salmon, frozen salmon kosher meat/chicken/turkey paper goods (especially holiday times) Premier Protein shakes (LOVE the convenience and 30 g protein in each!) Kashi chocolate almond granola bars (only 7 g sugars) Tzatziki yoghurt dip Wholly Guacamole cups Sirachi carrot hummous
  • Yes, I do believe in things science can't yet "prove." The emphasis is on the word YET. Just because we haven't yet perfected the technology doesn't mean we won't.
  • I love my Charge HR!
  • I'm a night shift nurse, 11-7 five nights a week! It would be great to have more friends who understand why having a burger and fries at 7 AM is perfectly normal, LOL.
  • Having a supportive husband is HUGE. And you will find support here. And your doctor should have resources to a support group and therapist who can help you. Or your insurance company might have resources.
  • This is amazing and inspiring. What you've shared can help so many people!!! You are brave and beautiful!
  • I just got my Charge HR in the mail yesterday! So happy! But it seems to be counting a LOT more steps than my Fitbit One did...I don't know whether it's overestimating or whether the One was underestimating. I don't know when the Charge HR will be available in stores, but the Fitbit people sent me an email and I was able…
  • "reply REFILL to fill your prescriptions due now." last one from an actual human was my daughter: "working until 1 today though"
  • Excellent! Thanks for the pics, very motivational.
  • << I want to eat healthy, not just eat less.>> Best. Quote. Ever. <<I have realized this is going to be a long journey and I'm ready for it.>> Yeah, when people ask me "what are you doing? What's your plan?" and I answer "changing my life is my plan" they're a little freaked. Our society expects instant gratification and…
  • I have a digital, but I have no idea whether it's accurate...I can get on it and it says one thing, get off and get RIGHT BACK ON and get a different weight! I do this a few times and finally decide whichever weight I see twice is the one I'll count. So weird. And we aren't talking a couple of ounces different...it can…
