  • Yes! My husband just got me Just Dance for Christmas, so much fun and while I have no idea how many calories I'm burning I always work up a sweat!
  • @passmetheduck thinking single, 27, merchandiser for a local beer distributor
  • I was just at Disney World the week before Christmas. We ordered groceries and had them delivered to our resort, mostly because food is so freaking expensive at the parks and hotel. There was a small fridge and microwave in the room, and the housekeeping staff kept us stocked up with paper plates, bowls, and plastic…
  • Usually my hand, occasionally the foot. I usually have my 3 yr old with me and there's not a lot of room for lifting a leg and using the foot method. I wash my hands afterward so I don't really think it's that big of deal. I've also been to a 3rd world country where I had to pay for toilet paper and was lucky to have a…
  • Do you watch tv? if so you have time to exercise :O) We have a mini-trampoline and I'll bounce on that while i watch tv sometimes. With the bathroom breaks, maybe jumping jacks sometimes instead just to switch it up. Turn on the radio and dance while you do housework! Or just have a dance party with your kids (if you have…
  • My husband got me Just Dance for xBox Kinect for Christmas which is my new favorite! I don't think there is a way to track calories burned, but it is so fun it doesn't feel like exercising. It works your whole body for a good cardio workout. :O)
  • Congrats!!
  • My sis-in-law makes a black bean chocolate cake not sure how "clean" it is but I'm sure it's healthier than Pillsbury cake mix.
  • Wow crazy! I don't have experience in shopping for a gym membership, but I do work in customer service and with that I will say some idiots just don't have good customer service skills. Try not to let that discourage you! He was probably just having a bad day, which doesn't excuse his behavior, and unfairly took it out on…
  • Does he go outside to call back his male friends and/or family? If he always excuses himself to return messages maybe he just thinks it is rude to talk on the phone in front of you? If it is only when he returns calls to females I'd think that is a little fishy. Have you met any of his friends? Maybe hang out in group with…
  • salad with protein on it - lean meat, eggs, nuts. i make my salads with spinach leaves, and use salsa instead of salad dressing. spinach salad with hard boiled egg & salsa is about 100 calories so pump up the meal with something like yogurt, granola bar, meal replacement shake, or lowfat string cheese depending on how many…
  • I personally see nothing wrong with gift cards, but I really enjoy giving an actual gift so I'd vote for something small with a gift card, like a new mug with the gift card stuck inside is a nice touch. :O) My grandpa always gives us cash, but he gets creative with it. He's taped the $ to the inside of a serving spoon,…
  • My husband says a man can never have too many tools or knives. He really likes pocket knives, that's what I got him last year. This year I am getting him stuff to make fancy coffees at home. We had a date at Starbucks recently and he totally loved the frappucino. So I'm thinking some chocolate frappe mix, ground espresso,…
  • This spring I had a miscarriage, If I hadn't I'd be due any day now.
  • I pan fry/saute everything I can to avoid turning on the oven. So I use just enough evoo to make the food not stick to the pan, then top with whatever spices sound good at the time. This a very convenient way to cook because you can saute veggies at the same time. I think asparagus goes nicely with talapia.
  • 1. There are parks/playgrounds all over the place, from our house there are 3 within walking distance and another one that is good biking distance. 2. The public libraries rock! The 2 closest to me have amazing children's areas, and one of them is within walking distance. 3. I've heard in MI you are never more than 5 miles…
  • Don't know about the waist size thing, but if you want to buy some in-between clothes without spending a lot I recommend checking out a thrift store or consignment shop so that you're not paying full price for clothes you may only wear for a couple months. I did this with my "fat" clothes and it helped me get motivated to…
  • So far all my other "diets" have failed but I've lost almost 10 lbs with mfp. I think I've been using mfp for about 2 months. Also, today for the first time in months I am wearing my size 6 pants, where as my size 8's were starting to get tight before I decided I needed to make a change. To me it has really helped me know…
  • I haven't lost a whole lot of weight yet, only about 8lbs. However, I've seen some changes in my marriage. At first my husband would get really frustrated because I often don't eat what he cooks now, or just very small portions and since he cooks enough to feed an army it leaves him eating a lot of leftovers. I think he's…
  • I've always dreamed of having a place where pregnant women could go to take classes (prenatal health, birthing, parenting, etc) and earn free stuff for their babies (diapers, diaper bag, clothes, strollers etc). I know places like this exist, but none near me and I don't think I could make a living from it anyway...seems…
  • http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/12/rudolph-red-velvet-cupcake.html For the Red Velvet cravers... you wouldn't have to decorate them like a reindeer!
  • Key lime pie! My husband bought one recently and we just finished it off last night. It was so good I could go for some more!
  • I feel for you, I don't work out of a truck but I do work 11hr shifts with no microwave or refrigerator. I pack a lunch bag with ice pack, I'm big on salads with protein (hard boiled egg, meat) to help make them more filling. Sandwiches are a great option though, with whole wheat bread and no mayo. There are lots of…
  • Ohh...by the deli! That's pretty much the only place in the stores I didn't look. We don't have Wegmans where I live, but we do have Walmart so I guess I'll have to check there. Thanks!!
  • So Delicious makes a dairy free eggnog from coconut milk. It's very tasty and only 90 calories for 4 oz. I'm not into soy, so when I go with a dairy free alternative I either use coconut milk or almond milk. Most major stores do carry a lowfat "eggnog flavored" drink. I'm not sure the calorie count, but around here the…
  • Eggs! Very versatile. Omelet at breakfast, boil some eggs and use them for egg salad sandwich or topping on a salad. A small bag of spinach or other salad greens is enough for a few salads. Try topping them with things you might not normally think of like walnuts and strawberries! I use salsa instead of salad dressing to…
  • -Don't have time to exercise -Too tired to exercise -"healthy food doesn't taste as good"
  • This! I've cut coffee out before, mostly because of the caffeine, when I was pregnant. I used to drink it with a lot of cream/sugar so I know it was really bad for me then. Now I drink just one cup a day with a small amount of flavored creamer...it's one of my indulges each day. :O) Caffeine withdrawal is NOT fun, but…
  • I work at a stand inside a grocery store and people are constantly asking me where totally obscure things are in the store. The worst part though is when people ask me how much the flowers cost, or which ones their wife will like better. Just because I'm female doesn't mean I can speak for all females and tell you which…
  • 1. Finding forgotten fave shows on Netflix (Like Bobbie's World, loved that show as a kid!) 2. When smart people are talking about something and I actually understand and can make a useful contribution. :O) 3. Compliments from strangers (I don't get that many, but I love hearing good things about my son from an unbiased…
