I am in! I think I will aim for 100 miles too this month. I need to get caught up with that since I have just started this challenge. I will log in my miles on my journal and come back here for results.

I have been reading more articles on the GMO foods; I get that they are "safe" but some things I prefer organic. For example, apples. They just taste better to me, the GMO kind has no flavor to me at all or maybe just bland tasting (idk). I am glad science and farming have clashed to create a higher production of food for…

That gives me hope! I start this new diet this weekend after I go grocery shopping, I pretty much got all of the junk out of the cabinets. I will update my progress when I finish, feel free to add me as well.

No it doesn't really. It just addresses chronic diseases in general

I do use more robust sources but it is nice to see what other people are doing through other resources other than scientific sources, hence what gives inspiration.

I am getting ready to read the gaurdian, thanks for the links

The "Hyman" diet basically is a whole food diet, you are restricted from dairy, sugar, processed foods. Instead you take in whole foods with a load of supplements for 10 days or longer if you choose. That pretty much sums it up. Also another thing is that when you eat fruits, you only eat them in the morning in a smoothie;…

http://www.webmd.com/diet/a-z/detox-diets I read this on the detox diet, makes sense and I see where many of you are coming from. I also like different opinions, some like these diets, some don't. This thread may be helpful to those considering it, read about it or maybe they have already done it and want to share their…

Well, I have read about a few people who follow specific diets. For example, the keto diet, Paleo, Whole Foods diet, diets that exclude sugars, boxed foods (basically processed foods), etc. Some of these people have had success with it and show before and after; they blog and write journals. I follow a lady on Instagram…

Thanks for the input. I was just referencing to the body getting rid of additional "toxins" if you can call it that from sugar, processed food, gmo foods and etc. I have been doing more reading and I guess I am just going to journal my own personalized diet. I have PCOS and I read that more than 20 grams of sugar a day can…

I am in! My goal is to lose 10lbs a month, 1500 cal/day burning more than 1700 cal/week which is exercising 4 days a week for 45 minutes a piece. I watched a show the other night about a woman who lost 65lbs in 3 months BUT she worked out 4 hours a day which is almost impossible for me at this moment with work. I will do…

Hello, I wanted to give an update on my PCOS. I have been to the doctor twice in a month, going back again on the 26th. My labs are showing high adrenal output at 1200, high liver enzymes, hyperglycemia and there is a couple more. My weight is around my abdominal area and in my face. The doctor thinks that I may have a…

For more inspiration during weight loss, go to google and type in "before and after weight loss", click images. The photos are amazing and the reason why it inspires me is because if these people can make that big of a difference in their bodies, I can too. I want to be on that Google Wall of Fame, to inspire someone else…

Hmm. I have been drinking Lipton Green Tea with super fruits. I just drank some and I feel more energy with it than coffee is seems. I did read that drinking 4 glasses of green tea can help with starches as far as processing them which is a plus. I guess we will see. lol

For those of us who have PCOS. We CAN beat this. :) <3

thanks!

hey everyone. I had some labs done and it came back decent. I had one thing that showed which alarmed me some. my liver enzymes were up and I have never had that result before. They are not sure why but I will probably have more labs drawn in about 6 months to see if they are still elevated. Hopefully it was just pain…
