I'm still logging everything, I'm trying to spend all the extra calories wisely, a diet break for me means eating looser, but not binging or wasting all the calories on junk food instead I eat more of the good stuff if that makes sense!
-
Yes I'm still exercising, just eating at tdee I am eating a lot more carbs than I normally would so I could be retaining more water than usual
-
ive been doing this for i think 1 and a half to 2 months? went down 2 sizes and lost 1 kg
-
Using bf% And yes, of course, I exercise for an hour at least everyday
-
my bmr is 1498 (calculated using scoobys workshop) I'm going to take a diet break next week and after that I'll try to eat at 2000?
-
Then my tdee would be around 2400 and my 15% cut would be around 2000 if I've done the maths correctly? This seems a bit much I'm getting about 1800 everyday right now.. I should probably up my calories yes?
-
Thanks, that's what I'm doing right now, I try not to weigh myself so often, mayb twice a month Going on a diet break starting next Monday, just in time for Xmas, haha
-
I've always done cardio, but now I go to the gym to lift once or twice a week, I've incorpted weights into my normal routines So I should weigh in after the rest day when I'm not still sore from lifting? I think that could be the problem I could be seeing some fluctuation, I've thrown the scale out of the house and only…
-
Yes but that was 4 weeks ago and the last two weeks I ate at the cut percentage and still lost nothing? I know patience is the key but i was just wondering if I was doing something wrong
-
I set my self as sedentary for those two weeks and just ate at tdee. yes I'm eating at 1800 now So you're suggesting that I just do cardio and no weight training/lifting?
-
1.5 hrs per day and yes I trying to get at least 120g of protein each day What cut percentage do you reckon I should be eating at now?
-
Yup! Exercising is kind of my zen time each day! Where I get to just focus on myself and nothing else, I normally do take a day off on Sundays but I am still active for a good part of that day, walking around, riding a bike etc

Tries on a pair of shorts I bought approximately a moths ago.... it was a size 12 and now it's become way too loose for me? It was high waisted and it kept slipping off!!
-
steam it. They are naturally sweet it's so satisfying if you are craving something carby or sweet
-
Sounds like a good idea! Thanks!
-
I think I'm gonna recalculate it anyway since I will be staying at home, nesting on the couch for quite a long period of time each day Thank you! I do too so I can start exercising again!!
-
My goal is 120lb

If you doubt the MFP calculator, calculate you bmr and TDEE using this website http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ Try to net at least you bmr, eating at 1000 or under everyday can't be good for you. And instead of eating popcorn, jello etc (even if they a quite low in calories, they might still be high in…

It's your Bf percentage that matters. The number on the scale isn't accurate all the time also... Measure yourself and as long the bf percentage is going down, even if the number on the scale isn't budging, you are still doing it right!
-
Weighed myself before the workout too... There was about a 0.1 kg fluctuation, didn't think it was worth mentioning.. Haha:tongue:
-
You should list your stats.... but from what I have read you are eating way too little!!!! With all that exercise you are doing how is your body going to survive off 1000 cals! I suggest you find out your bmr and net at least that amount everyday
-
This!!
-
Eat more protein? Honestly, from my point of view, going over you macros is so much better than having a net of 1200. Figure out you tdee and bmr. Then do a 15% on you tdee. Eat that amount everyday including the days when you aren't exercising/active. On the days that you do exercise, try to net at least your bmr.
-
Try to net at least your bmr. Dont intentionally go below 1200
-
Bump
-
Thanks everyone, that really clears it up! I'm eating at a deficit of 400-500, hopefully thats the right amount

Weight lifting, cardio, and pop Pilates 6 days of the week (that stuff is amazing, only been doing it for a months and the results are fab!)
-
At the end of the day it's calories in vs calories out, no matter what foods you chose to eat, whether its a slice of pizza, or a slice of watermelon, with that said, unprocessed foods are ultimately better for you, but for me, I have a sandwich for lunch everyday, and instead of white bread, I have whole wheat bread.

What is more, the number on the scale isn't everything, measure yourself once a month, calculate you bf%, if its going down, as well as the number on the scale, you are doing great. If the number on the scale doesn't budge, but you bf is going down, then you are still doing great!
