  • Just had my second and final baby girl on January 16th. We have 2 under 2! I'm currently 52 pounds heavier than my weight pre baby #1 (profile picture) and I really want to get back to my old self! Add me!!
  • If you watch the bb.com video they actually do them in place. I did my in place today because unless I do them at the front entrance of my gym there is no pathway!

  • Start shopping early. When I went to get my dress altered I was browsing dresses and there was a GORGEOUS dress for $250 on clearance. I would have totally bought it if I did n't already have mine! My wedding was pretty inexpensive, but I started VERY early making lots of things myself. I made my bouquets, guestbook (made…
  • I am actually taking my first rest day today and then again sat and sun. I don't think it matters, but I'm lifting way heavier than I have the past year and I am VERY sore! I thought a rest day would be good so that on legs I can give it all I've got! Otherwise, I am afraid I won't get the full benefit of my leg routine!

  • I run at 4:30 in the a.m. so my suggestion would be to get up and do it early. That way it is out of the way and there is nothing that can alter your plans for running as would if you did it later. If I plan on running after work I usually don't because I have a headache, am to tired, etc. I'm definitely not a morning…
  • I agree! I went on a honeymoon cruise this year and then again in October for fall break. I definitely gained weight. And I hated the 'spa carnival' selections so I ended up eating the other menu items. I even tried working out, but I run and it was really hard for me to run on the treadmill while the boat was moving. I…
  • I don't live alone, but my husband doesn't eat what I eat and he is a restaurant manager thus eats at work most of the time. Each Sunday, I cook for the entire week. I usually eat the same thing for lunch on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and then I will have a second option for Tue and Thur. I do the same thing for…
  • It's just different units that can be used. Some people measure in pounds which is the English system (mostly people in the states) and some measure in kilograms which is the metric system. Most people everywhere except the states uses metric.
  • My easy go-to chicken recipe is similar to parmesian chicken without the breading. I've sprinkled garlic on the chicken and covered it in homemade marina (of course you could simply use it from the jar) and baked it for 40 minutes on 350. Sprinkle a small amount of mozerella over the top when it is done and serve with…
  • It should, but if it is so hard that it makes you quit it isn't beneficial. A challenge is great, but something that you fail at constantly doesn't help. Hard is good when you enjoy it as much as can be enjoyed.
  • I liked it, but there were certain videos I liked best. For instance, I LOVED the plyometrics. However, I hated some of them because like you I give up when it comes to pull ups and push ups. I would usually quit half way through on the video that is ALL push ups and pull ups (chest and back). :) Wasn't for me, but a lot…
  • Oatmeal is extremely healthy and loaded with complex carbs which makes it better! If you are worried about protein, try adding some ground flax seed to it. The combination of complex carbs plus protein is going to make you full longer as it takes longer to break down. The sausage is going to have protein, but is usually…
  • I quit a few years ago. I first decided that I would no longer smoke in my car. So I never did - had suckers instead. I slowly increased the places that I wouldn't. Eventually, I just quit. It was really hard, but you can do it. I also started running (at the time walking with a minute jog every so often). That really…
  • Currently 35-40 miles per week becuase I am in the peak of my marathon training. When I'm trainning for a half I usually run 25. When I'm not training I run between 20-25. I like to keep my base miles up so that when I start training I don't have to start all over again. I also lift 3 times per week and spin/cycle for…
  • Week 3 Recipe Garden Fresh Fajitas This is one of my favorite recipes because I can slice the veggies the night before and it only takes about 15 minutes to prepare. I do grow my own bell peppers in my garden and I make fresh salsa, but it can of course be made with store bought products. I'm sure a lot of you already make…
  • Will post my recipe as soon as I get home today!
  • Soooo behind on the recipes and they all look so good! Purchased the hoisin sauce so that is probably next followed by the stuffed chicken. Can't wait!
  • Has he seen you before? My guess is he has experienced online dating in situations where the person's picture wasn't them and they lied about the way they looked. That happens a lot. While it was a rude thing to say - it is a man, so there you go. :) I would give it a few more dates and if you really like him and things…
  • I saw your post that says hoisin sauce can be bought at the grocery. Where exactly would I find it (sauce isle, international food isle, organic section)? Just thought I would ask! Sounds great!
  • I would like to do it! My mom does some sort of recipe swap every year around the holidays, but it is a little different. They mail recipes and the person that receives it mails them one back and mails one to 5 other people. Something like that. . .Quite a few have replied so maybe we can make it a group thing. . .
  • LOVE IT!!! I just finished the flying pig 1/2 in Cincinnati and I start training Monday for my very first full! I'm excited, but also nervous. 26.2 is a FAR distance! I'm doing either the Marshall marathon in West Virginia in November or the Indianapolis Monumental. Haven't decided yet. Good luck all!
  • I've looked at the Indianapolis Monumental because it actually works with my schedule. I wanted to do Columbus, but I am running the Bourban Chase Relay the weekend before and the day after that I fly to Florida for a Bahamas cruise. In order to do the Columbus I would have to fly from Fl to OH and I think I will be…
  • Thanks all! I really want to do the Columbus marathon as I keep hearing GREAT things about it. Not just that it is flat, but that it has great crowd support. I also want to do one in NY. I would love to do one through central park! Will definitely look into these! Thanks again and happy running!
  • I know how scary it is. When I was in high school a tornado ripped the roof off of the school in the a.m. when everyone was arriving. I was on the bus and all of the windows just starting busting. Will keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers! Stay safe!
  • Sounds great! I can't wait to try it!
  • Exactly what I did!
  • I originally had set what I thought for a year was unattainable because I was trying so hard and wasn't seeing enough weight loss so I changed it to 10 less pounds. However, I have now reached the second more attainable goal and now I totally know that with enough discipline I can reach my original goal. So. . . my once…
  • LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Brooks! I actually wear the Brooks Cascadia's. I have the last 3 year's models. They are a trail shoe, but I wear them on the road because they are very light. I usually run 4-6 miles on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 13 on saturday, and 9 on Sundays. After my 1/2 in May I will be training for a full. So far I…
  • 4:30 am get up 5am leave for the gym 5:30 at the gym working out! In order to do this I started with just two mornings a week. I pack my gym bag with all of my work clothes, etc the night before and I have everything I need already in my car ready to go. The only thing I have to grab is my lunch which is in the fridge…
  • I drink flavored green tea every day and it has almost zero everything, but it usually has up to 15 mg of potassium depending on the flavor.
