Thank you all so much for your replies and advice! You're right that logging daily is what keeps us on track, and I remember how much the accountability was very important for me. MFP has always been positive and supportive from what I have seen and I am feeling so much better today about everything. I'm ready to DO THIS,…

Thank you for sharing this. It's very straightforward and make so much sense. I am going to use this as my personal inspiration/motivation and as a reminder to slow down and focus on the here and now. There are so many small choices I can make every day to continuously evolve and get closer to my goal. This is true for…

I've been pretty strict with portioning these last few weeks so even though I'm eating high nutrition, lower cal foods and feel technically satiated, I'm having a hard time breaking the old behavior. In other words, even though I think I'm eating enough, I still have a hard time not wanting to reach for that snack (healthy…

Just for today: I will avoid snacking on little sugary things here and there out of boredom (instead I will get up and walk around the office.

I agree with the poster above. Don't keep that stuff in the house. When I have goodies in the house I think about them all the time and eventually I eat them. But the goal of all this is not to deprive yourself of things that make you happy. This shouldn't be viewed as a punishment. When you view a healthier lifestyle as a…

This sounds just like me. The late afternoon and rest of the night is the hardest time for me to have self control. When I come home from work I am ravenous, specifically for JUNK food. Even if I eat a late lunch and healthy snacks throughout the day I jones for sugary junky snacks when I come home. And after dinner it's…

I knew I was losing weight when I put on some old gym clothes and it looked like this:

Congrats on your transformation. You look 10 years younger!
-
You look so cute and I love your outfits in both pics! Congrats on your progress. Keep it up!!!

I definitely see a big difference in your torso. Keep it up!

I like your attitude. Never give up. I know it's easier said than done! Sometimes I give up and get down about it for a while, but then I realize that no one else can do it for me. My motto is "The only way to do it is to do it."

Your transformation is inspiring. You can see the happiness in your face in the 'after' pic

I can run a mile! Sometimes more, sometimes less (depending on the humidity hehe) but this is something I never dreamed I could do before. I'm also stronger and have better posture from strength training.

I'm always happy to reciprocate as I could use motivation myself. My biggest weakness is losing motivation and falling off track. But a body in motion tends to stay in motion and a body at rest tends to stay at rest. Feel free to add me if you like :)

You look amazingly trim and happy. Keep it up!

Congrats on your accomplishments! I am inspired by your post as I have been focusing on strength training for some time now. Your arms are my goal arms! Keep up the good work and I'm glad you feel so good inside.

My husband took a goofy picture of me yesterday while I was outside doing yard work in my full garden gear. I hammed it up and knew I didn't look my best but when I saw the picture later I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't cringe at "how big I looked in a picture."

I was a daily beer drinker for many years. At least 4 or 5 on a regular night and sometimes close to 10 or 12 on a weekend. I stopped drinking in Sept 2012 and also counted calories and charted exercise and lost nearly 30 lbs in 6 months. I often believe it was the omission of drinking that caused most of the weight loss.…

You look great and must feel incredible. Keep it up!

This post really spoke to me. I've been a member of MPF for a few years and have lost weight using the tools and from inspiration I've found from other members posting on the boards. I fell off the wagon a few months ago and recently have decided I want to get back on. I opened this thread to hopefully find some comfort…

I definitely see a difference in the tummy area and also in the second pic under your arms. Keep up the good work!

Your story is inspiring and your message is the truth. Never give up. Never give up on yourself. Best wishes for continued success on your journey.

I love to put a cup of Greek yogurt in the freezer until it's very firm but not rock hard. If it has fruit on the bottom sometimes I will mix it up prior to freezing. I love the texture when it's ready.. Almost like a frozen custard. Each freezer is different so you gotta check it every so often to make sure it's not TOO…
