  • What's important is how YOU feel. I work out because I like to feel strong. Anyway, definitely wouldn't call you "skinny fat". You look great. but if you wanted to build some booty, just do some squats, no biggie.
  • I got to the place where losing more required too much work - which I did for a while, but felt like I was neglecting other aspects of life to maintain it. I was happy enough with where I was at and now just focus on eating really well. I know how much I want to eat, how much I want to exercise, and what sacrifices I'm…
  • In a bowl, mix: 1 banana 1 egg 1/3 cup oatmeal Butter on a skillet and fry yourself up the yummiest Power Pancake you've ever had. So sweet from the banana and oats, I don't even need to put jam or honey on it. Low heat for longer time than you would a normal pancake. approx. 350 calories

  • I've heard different things about this, but I have a 75yo friend who is in fantastic health and traveling the world with a backpack, who says that most calories should be in your breakfast. He says that if you load up on your fats and proteins first thing, your body will be like "Okay, I'm all fueled up and ready to burn!"…
  • I save up some calories from a few weeks, and use those vacation days to take lots of family hikes, and throw in some extra workouts after it's all over. Enjoy the holiday food, it's only once a year.
  • I'm 4'11.5" 118 pounds and my TDEE is 2150 My NEAT is 1850 and that's based on two years of logging and doing the math. I don't think being short makes THAT much difference to our NEATs. Between me and a tall lady, maybe 200 calories, but not more than that. So don't sell yourselves short (haha) we can eat more than we…
  • Eat low Mon-Wed, around 1700-1900 calories a day Eat high Thurs-Sun, 2100-2600 calories a day As much protein as I can, LOTS of veggies, no processed or junk foods. Beer and ice cream every day  No, they are *not* junk foods. lol I very rarely eat bread or pasta, and only use butter or other good oils for cooking, no…
  • Thanks for all the advice!!! You guys are awesome!
  • The last reps of pretty much any move with the barbell make my wrists feel like they're on fire.
  • I don't know what it does for weight loss, but I *do* know that you will live longer if you cut it out completely. You don't need it. It's really nasty stuff that nature did not intend for you to ingest. Good on you for switching to water! Keep it up.

  • You do NOT need surgery. Your skin looks good. Just don't lose the weight too quickly. Take your time and avoid loose skin.
  • I switch it up all the time, to avoid boredom. You'll exercise your whole life if you enjoy it, and there's so much great stuff out there to try. Definitely switch it up! The one time I actually managed to lose those last 5lbs and get to my goal weight was by doing HIIT for 20-30 mins. 3 x week.
  • Anything with lots of garlic and caramelized onion, or melted cheese, or anything with bbq sauce, or huge chef salads, sushi, I mean SUSHI, beer (beer counts, right?), pie: any kind, obviously ice cream, chicken, sausage, burritos, avocado on a corn tortilla, blue cheese, brie cheese, all cheeses, anything that someone…
  • Keep it up. It's awesome that you manage to get that much protein in.
  • Pretty much anything is okay for just one day. When I'm worried about calories, I drink on an empty-ish stomach, so I don't need as much to get tipsy.
  • Often when I see people's before and after pics it seems like they look younger and better-looking, face-wise, in their before pictures (to a point, obviously). Embrace the cheeks.
  • I'm your size, started at 137, felt fine at 120, am currently working hard to maintain 116. I think you should try upping to 1,600 and see what happens. My NEAT is 1850, that's on a day when I do some light housework, take a short walk, walk up and down stairs a few times, and spend at least 6 hours in front of my…
  • I was never a breakfast person, and then I read that Sumo wrestlers don't eat breakfast because not eating breakfast makes the body store more fat from other meals. So. Now I'm a breakfast person.
  • I was my skinniest ever when I was nursing, it took about 6 months to kick in but then it all came right off. Just eat when you're hungry and make sure it's whole, good, healthy food.
  • Firstly, be patient. It will come. You've already been through this, so you know what to expect, and that's an advantage. I cook for my 11yo and my husband. They eat what I eat, or they cook for themselves. It's good for them to eat healthy, so your healthy diet trumps any crappy eating they may be used to. Can you get…

  • From one Leo to another - You can do this! 40 pounds in 3 months is totally doable. Eat less, move a lot more, fall in love with exercise and healthy food. (my bday's just one day after yours)
  • If I could take only one thing from this planet to start life on another, it would be ice cream.
  • Exercise WITH your kids. Turn the music on and jump around for cardio. Get on the floor and do some airplanes and other "lifting" exercises with them. Pick them up by their feet, do push-ups with them on your back... 2 in 1 - quality time with your kids and an awesome workout.
  • Slice a banana and freeze. Blend frozen banana slices with peanut butter until texture is like ice cream. It's amazing! No sugar needed. 1 banana, 1 tbsp PB, 1 tsp vanilla = 220 calories
  • Two words: Peanut Butter I do 1 banana, 1 tbsp PB, and 1 tsp vanilla.
  • I plan my day, and log my food in the morning before breakfast, with my morning coffee. That way, I know exactly where I am. I can change things throughout the day, but I know that if I add something, I have to take something else away.
