I just got back on track so I'm taking it slow. Mainly eating more veggies and staying within my calorie limit. I've been prepping my lunches and dinners so that it makes it easier for me to decide what to eat and not resort to junk/fast food since I already have good meals ready to go!

I sent out some requests as well, and feel free to add me too! I'm 23 and I have about 130 lbs I want to lose.

What he said. It takes time for your skin to adjust and depending on your age and amount of extra skin you have, you may not have any extra skin after a couple years, or you may have a lot. It's definitely differs per person, but gaining muscle will help to fill in some of that extra skin.

I use Optimum Gold Standard Whey (I have both Double Rich Chocolate and Delicious Strawberry). Sometimes I'll just mix it with water but often times I'll blend it with 1 cup silk unsweetened almond milk and 1 frozen banana.. It tastes like a milk shake! Plus it has a good balance of carbs and protein.

Feel free to add me, I'm on here multiple times a day :)

Agreed. I wasn't able to run for about 9 months, however I was cleared to use the stationary bike and could go swimming before then. Just remember, don't push yourself too far too fast; you don't want to re-injure your knee. The most important part is for you to make sure it heals nicely at an appropriate pace.

I'm jealous too haha I can't wait until I look that good!

I've taken Prozac and Wellbutrin in the past and neither affected my appetite or weight however they didn't help me so I had to change medications. I've just started taking zoloft for my anxiety/depression and I've experienced a big lack of appetite which has never happened to me before. Also, if I don't take my pill with…

I've lost a total of 30.8 lbs since starting my weight loss journey in April! I've lost A LOT from right around my waist (7.5in) and hips (5.5in) though I've still managed to lose 1in from my arms and 3.25in from my thighs. I feel a million times better about my body! I'm only about 1/3 of the way to my weight loss goal…

I generally do a scramble one whole egg with an additional egg white or two, 1/4 c cottage cheese, spinach, onion and RF feta. It has a ton of protein (25g) and it's super yummy!

I decided against the patella but now I wish I just chose cadaver, oh well haha. Only 7 weeks of therapy and you're going to be running in 3 weeks? Whaaaaaat, how long ago was your surgery? It was like 7-8 months before I could run and I worked really hard at PT :/ But yeah, the swelling goes down though I do have to deal…

I worked at Panera for about 3 years and there are a ton of healthy options if you make the right modifications. Their classic salad with chicken and the dressing on the side, the black bean soup, the garden vegetable soup, and you can ask for no bread with your sandwich and eat it like a lettuce wrap or just get a half…

Yeah it really does! I was really athletic but had poor eating habits so when I was injured I gained quite a bit of weight and it has just continued to add up. :/ Even now though I have some small issues with my knee, for instance I get leg spasms (I had a hamstring graft), my mobility is probably at 90-95%, and somedays…

I have a bit more to lose than you do however I had ACL surgery about 5 years ago so I can relate to what you're going through!

Mine is public and my calorie goal is 1210. :)

I went out to dinner tonight at a Thai restaurant with my family. Instead of getting curry I got steamed vegetables and ordered some chicken satay fresh rolls (and only ate half of of it) and was totally satisfied. :)

I'm 5'7 and I'm aiming for 140-145 but we'll see what happens when I'm closer to my GW.
-
The biggest one for me was probably when I finally didn't feel the need to clear my plate because I was satisfied.

I do WW as well however I decided to try out MFP so that I can watch my carb intake. I've been here almost a week and I'm debating on canceling my WW now because I like MFP more. I'm just going to give it another week and see how things go. :)

Tea is my go to as well! it's better than plain water because it takes time to drink and by the time I'm done I realize that I wasn't actually all that hungry. I'm going to have to try out this Genmaicha green tea though! Sounds good. :)

I'm 21 and my starting weight was 240.8 lbs and have lost 26 lbs so now I'm at 214.8. I've always been on the chubby side but it's gotten worse over the last 5 years. :/ Feel free to add me and we can help motivate each other!

I'm 21 (:

50 lbs down is such a great milestone! I can't wait until I'm there haha. You seem very driven and that's great that your motivation is your husband. :) And yeah, having a support system on this site is great. It really helps keeping me looking forward rather than backward.
-
Yeah I'm sure there are less chances of complications by being at a healthy weight during pregnancy. Good luck with everything :)
-
I can't wait to get under 200! Hopefully by new years for me :) Congrats on all of the hard work, it has paid off!
-
Yeah I'm really loving MFP. It's a great community! It's hard to be unmotivated when you're surrounded by people who are extremely motivated. Keep up the good work! :)
-
I hate taking medication and I definitely don't want to have to resort to doing so later in life simply because I couldn't take better care of myself NOW. We got this, it's totally possible :)
-
That's good! You can do this :)
-
I do this haha. I have definitely come to be more aware of my body and I'm learning not to ignore parts about it. It's a great motivator!
