I've never been good at being consistent with it...but I'm getting there! i almost didn't do it today...and I just felt so compelled! I used to be so resistant to keeping a food journal, but now I'm starting to like it. A lot!

it sounds to me like she's fine with having the c-section, and you're obviously pretty judgmental about it. perhaps she is going on about being "forced" because she wants you to shut up and mind your own business?

Yep, I would. Because the path to becoming fit once you are already obese is a long one, and as long as that trainer was on the journey with me, it would be fine. it's really sad how people automatically look at a fat person and make all sorts of judgements about them, because they might not be accurate. I know with me,…

I'm proud to be a woman, not a little girl. The idea that a woman shouldn't have any hair anywhere comes from porn and reminds me too much of guys who like 'em a bit too young.

yes, but not the way you mean. i'm earning my bachelor's degree in health education and my senior practicum was in a weight loss clinic owned & ran by a registered dietician. (i have one class left!!!) part of my duties were to be a weight loss coach so i helped with a lot of nutrition advice. i set up a meal plan for a…

It used to make me so upset when people who were at a healthy weight complained about needing to lose weight or whatever- and it was all I could think of was that if they felt that way about themselves, what did they possibly think about someone like me, who was 100+ pounds overweight. But now I realize that what really…

I find everything offensive...but not this for some reason. I mean, other than calling someone who is a size 10 fat. That's offensive.

I just think their should be a browse feature instead of just a search feature for the groups.

I love ALL of the pictures people post of themselves, because they're each motivational in their own way.

I looked at the thread that was closed, and I don't see how it violated guidelines. If they want people to use the groups, they need to make it easier to find the groups other than the search option, or is it there and I just haven't found it yet?

What's the double standard? People make fun of fat people. People complain. People make fun of fit, skinny, or muscular people. People complain. Then people say it's all in fun. But it's not. It can be very hurtful and any one who thinks it's alright to jokingly make fun of another person is not much different than the…

Whether you agree with it or not, there's really no reason for you to call her Ms. Piggy, is there?

Most funnest. Haha!

This happened to me after I had my first miscarriage at 12 weeks. This lady that I saw a few times a week at my internship told me congratulations because the shirt I was wearing made me look more pregnant instead of just fat...and I couldn 't stop crying after telling her I'd just lost my baby a week earlier. She was the…

That's so sad that people think that being obese, overweight, or something disqualifies them from finding love. Actually, it pisses me off. I know so many guys who are less interested in a girl's weight than they are about other things about a woman. Unfortunately, people are often so concerned about what everyone else…

I see it as being similar to a woman not being interested in a man because he doesn't have a lot of money. Fast forward to a few years later..same woman, same man with a large bank account. She's now interested in him. Some guys would be cool with that and others not so much. the way I see it is this...if you didn't love…

back to the original topic.... If people are eating not very many calories to begin with, and then exercise on top of that, they will have a very large calorie deficit. A large deficit means more lean muscle mass lost. Losing muscle mass lowers metabolism, so you gain weight on even fewer calories. Its tricky because you…

You know what angers me? I was a fat kid. I played outside, rose bikes...did everythingt my friends did. Society assumed I sat on my *kitten* all day. I didn't sit around and shove twinkies and hot dogs down my throat all day. I wasn't the kid who scarfed down everything in site. I got fat by eating just a bit more than I…

I'd like a WTT group. I actually have a 4 month old baby girl, and an (almost) 4 year old son. After this last pregnancy, I had some complications (pulmonary edema due to severe preeclampsia) and to make a long story short was really afraid that I wouldn't ever get a chance to have the third baby that I always wanted. I;m…

thanks for the welcome back! :-)

I think that the *ideal* way to do it is whatever works best for you and your appetite! I'm still struggling to find a balance, because although I wish that I could eat perfectly portioned meals divided evenly throughout my day, it doesn't work realistically. I know there are good reasons that the "experts" recommend what…

About 6 years ago I lost about 45 pounds (have gained it all back and more.) When I did, I would generally lose 2, gain them back, and then lose five each month. It was related to water retention during my period.

If any part of the egg is still runny (just a litle bit of raw egg), I my ears and throat start to itch. What's that about? Oh yeah, and they give me gas, too.

I love this thread! Everyone has such beautiful kitties. Both my husband and I are crazy cat people. The reason we started hanging out together was because we both loved our kitties so much! We now have EIGHT indoor cats. It's not the best, but we love them all and couldn't get rid of any of them. (We also have an almost 4…
