I miss beer so much. My advice? Stay the he'll away from it! If you are doing the hflc diet, its a slippery slope. Maybe use it has a reward when you get down a milestone? (I know food/drinks for rewards but we are human). But I avoid it completely lately, stick with hard liquor if you must drink. Best of luck!

Same weight for about 2 weeks, definitely in keto and not cheating (had vodka soda) much other than a drink. I eat 1200-1500/day but on the high fat low carb diet. And it is filling, its the only way i can eat less without staring at the clock for more food. And I have energy and am not hangry

Been on vacation for the last week and been mostly keto.. (had breaded chicken and booze a night ). Will be home tomorrow so i can weigh and see if any changes. @jlfeath829 by all means keto is a great start! My recommendation is to check you're blood sugars often in the first couple weeks. Before meals and bedtime, and write it all down. I would not be adjusting your meds without talking to your doc. You're sugar levels should come down in a few weeks, has for the thyroid.…

Night shift here and didn't bring food. Been trying the intermittent fasting for a few days. 18:6, I eat from 12 to 6. So gonna pass out at home and wake up to eat. My hardest part is the lack of hazelnut creamer in my coffee. Everything else is a breeze

I've been doing the keto, high fat low carb. And it is insane. Good way. Today Ill have scrambled eggs with cheese and butter, And for my meal cauliflower "mac" and cheese with chicken and veggies thrown in it. It's so filling, no cravings no hunger pangs. Have to remind myself to eat.
