Actually, it does. Not for everybody, obviously - there always have to be the lucky ones :p - but the metabolism slows down after a specific period of years (usually after 30). It depends on many factors, especially the lifestyle and diet of the individual.

1400 calories? In my opinion, that's too low. Did you calculate the needs for you body? Especially if you're active... The more active you are, the more you have to eat in order for the body to be healthy. It needs fuel to function properly. If given too little food, it will "hang on" to anything you eat and store it as…

I receive this remark ALL the time (maybe because I'm 148 cm/4'10'' and the number on the scale is too low for their perception, which is ~45 kg/99 lbs). But that doesn't mean I'm too thin or anorexic, for God's sake. Just look at me, not at the numbers. I am healthy! :grumble:

There's no need to tell you what others already mentioned - you are judgmental and this whole attitude may turn against you... So be careful what you say and do :ohwell: You should be motivated by fit people - that's where you're headed yourself - maybe learn from them (I've even learned some new exercises/variations from…

You don't need to eat at a deficit forever unless you want to lose weight for the rest of your life... But you do have to change the unhealthy habits and, trust me, it's not that difficult to maintain (especially if you've eaten at a caloric deficit for a long time) - just eat what your body needs and don't go…

A bit too harsh said, but I agree. If everyone would eat the way we were meant to eat (no processed foods and sugar-with-a-little-something beverages) and have a fairly active lifestyle (not sitting in front of the PC/TV all day), there would be no obesity and fat-related diseases :flowerforyou:

No... But I do like your tattoos

Fish. I used to HATE it. Whenever my mom wanted to cook fish, I would immediately run as fast as I could  . In any direction. Just to be far away from the stove. I've started eating fish one week ago because of the protein and omega-3. It's not that nasty, just... The memories from my childhood are heavy when it…

Hey, honey :) I'm going to be frank with you - everybody saying you need to focus on your nutrition rather than ab workout is right. The truth is that there's no point in doing that. Just don't do any ab exercises. Why? I will try to explain as briefly as possible: when your body fat percentage is higher than 20, you're…

If the sugar is from fruits, it's okay (as long as you're healthy and don't need to watch your sugar intake - just don't go overboard with it). The protein is healthy so don't worry about it, especially if you practice any kind of sports. You can eat about 1-2 grams per pound of body weight per day. PS: Did you set your…

Exactly. I'm 150 cm (4' 11'') and it put me before the 1st girl (does that mean I'm anorexic?! :noway: ). Not convinced at all by this site... Even though the "perfect pear" matches my figure

It's not okay to cut from your healthy meals in order to integrate the simple carbohydrates (with fast release) - which are fattening in the long run (for some, not that long). The 500 calories taken from these snacks are not equal to those you eat on a normal basis - just look at the nutritional values. As others said…
