I agree on the cramping...when I slowed down to a fast walk while working on the 8 mile run that's when the pain begins...lol

So I finished my eas complete protein container and switched to an all whey product called dynamize ISO chocolate flavor. Which has really upset my stomach. I love the tase of the first container but it's a blend of milk protien and soy protein. And with all the rumor on soy I am too worried about going back. Also the…

Compression shorts? Yes or no? What energy gels work for you? Night before meal? Day of breakfast? How long should I eat before the race?
-
Any brand of sock you recommend? I am on my 3rd type so far it's not too bad. I have a water belt that I have been training with to get use to it. Trying out Gatorade chew squares for quick energy. Seems to work. But then again I don't know much about energy packs.

I totally agree on not running too fast and getting caught up in the excitement. I went in with that knowledge from a few friends. However I still found myself caught up in the excitement of my 5k but did finally remember to slow down. I ended up passing a lot of people who started out way to fast.

I use run keeper had no idea about the training plans. I will look at it. Thanks

Yea my 5k obstacle race was 75 bucks. I luck out that the doctor paid the entrance fee. I plan on spending money for a room the night before.

I can say I workout 3-4 times a week. I've looked at a few of the plans. I completed the couch to 5 k a couple of months back. Attempted the couch to 10 k. But half way through I wasn't thrilled with it. So with a combination of a few plans I am hoping I will get there. I have been doing long walks and one day tested the…

Definitely killing it at the gym. I can't go everyday working nights 3 days a week but all my other days I am there. I do what I can on my work days either using home weights, running or circuit training as soon as I get home before bed.

Wasn't trying to offend anyone. I am a beginner and just looking for advice. Everyone has different goals. It was meant as a clarification not an insult. I would lack the discipline to be a body builder.

Ok so from majority whey is the way to go. Apparently the one I bought is milk and soy protein. I will have to finish this one up first before I start trying another new one. I will definitely have to try it blended with fruit and almond milk that sounds great. So it's not necessary to drink within 30 mins of completing a…

I want to build muscle without a ton of bulk. I want to look like a woman not the Incredible Hulk
-
I have cardio but I am weight training along with tabata training for legs and core.
-
So you can add it to foods? Not just drink it?
-
Don't plan on drinking it everyday. It just there's only so much eggs, tuna and lean meat I can eat in a day before I get so burnt out, I never seem to meet my daily protein. I. Assume I would need more than my daily if I want to have more lean muscle. Is this correct?

Drink with water? As in mix it with water? I mix mine with water to avoid excess calories. Or are you talking about drink more water with it?
