  • I did the 5:2 fast for a three months, lost 14lbs which is good. On mfp I just didn't complete at the end of the day, or else you get 'told off' for not eating enough.
  • I definitely run too fast on my recovery days... I read something about leaving the gps device at home (phone with endomondo in my case) which stops you running slow because you analyse it too much. Doing a half marathon (spartan race infact) so am going to make sure I go nice and slow on those days.
  • To be honest I didn't really understand what he was saying... All I was trying to do was say what happened to me that I lost weight - maybe it wasn't because of the low-gi diet but it worked for me for an entire year. I have lost a lot of weight which I was quite pleased with and I was attempting to help other people on…
  • Ok.. thanks for labelling my 70 pound weight loss as a 'nice try'. Thanks for the support.

It then follows you will get a big trough in your blood sugar cos those that are bigger find it difficult to regulate their…

  • Thanks guys for your kind words. I have started to look at my body fat % am currently at 17 is (not the most reliable machine). I have read somewhere that 15 is good for a keen amateur athlete so I'm going to aim for that will probably equate to 13 is pounds anyways.
  • Brilliant weight loss, you look like a different person.
  • Hi, I've been doing tris for a couple of years now. Couple of general advice: 1) if you swim with in the pack you'll save yourself energy (about 30% of energy) 2) Practice 'bricking' going from bike to run - your legs feel alien to your body. 3) Practice your transition, where you place your running shoes v your cycle…
