  • Just an update. Got a new set of Asics running shoes. Stuck with eliptical exercises for about a month. Back to running 2 or 3 times a week now and things seem better. Thanks for all the advice.
  • Thanks for the advice. I've been using the same shoes for about a year now and try to run 3 times a week with a minimum of 3 miles each run. I'm thinking for now I'm going to five my legs a rest for about another week and get some new shoes. Hopefully things will get better after that. I don't think it shin splints. I've…
  • I ran it for my first time this year. Had a blast and am looking forward to next year. Would love to get a group together at some point in time to train for the tri-fecta.
  • Great, thanks for all the advice so far. I think I'm going to look into buying some compression pants (maybe wear shorts over them for another layer), shirt, and a wind breaker.
  • I've went through two rounds of Insanity. Loved it. It has definitely changed me. Even now I will still do a video occasionally just to break the cycle of working out in they gym all the time. Last night was Insane Abs and then 1/2 hour on the elliptical all this mixed in with a few push ups and I was wore out at the end.
  • I will be finishing up my second round this week. Keep with it. It is a great workout.

  • That depends on which model you buy.
  • Me and my wife are both members of the Y and go to the one in Lawrence that is located on Fort Ben. I haven't actually been for a couple weeks now since I have decided to do a second round of Insanity.
  • I might have to try this. Thanks for sharing.
  • I am actually on week 2 of my second time doing Insanity. Stick with it! It is worth it. My first results were great. Lost around 25 pounds.
  • Okay, so I did day 2. Just because it is the second time doing it doesn't make it easy. Was a great workout but man those power squats hurt.
  • I just ordered an FT7.
  • I think I'm liking the FT7 from reading reviews. Questions: Can you enter the data using the flowlink adapter? http://www.amazon.com/Polar-Flowlink/dp/B004QOW1IU/ref=pd_sim_sg_1 Also, do you recommend getting the gel? http://www.amazon.com/Spectra-Electrode-Parker-Labs-250GM/dp/B0002CA8RQ/ref=pd_sim_sg_6 Thanks for…
  • LOL...Yeah it seems hard sometimes to keep improving on the fit test results. Not that I don't think I'm getting into better shape but mostly because I don't like high jumps.
  • Think I know what I'm making for dinner this weekend now. Thanks for sharing.
  • I'm curious to see how this thread goes. I have been searching with you and haven't came up with a good decision either. I'm looking for something that will help me more accurately calculate calories while doing things like Insanity video training but I also enjoy running (treadmill) and strength training at the gym.
  • Definitely going to try these. Thanks
  • I just finished Insanity 2 weeks ago and lost a little over 20 pounds. I'm currently thinking of doing it again.
  • I have been wondering the same thing. I have been shopping around but not sure what to buy.
  • I have made these a few times now. I really like to add 1tsp of cinnamon to the mix also.
  • I'm always over on sugar for the same reason. It is natural sugar and from my understanding it is used by your body in a different way then artificial sugars. You should be fine.

  • I really like the Bowflex 552s I think. It still seems hard to justify spending that much money on dumbbells but all the prices are comparable. Guess I just wasn't expecting to pay that much. Anyway, as far as doing the push-ups I will probably just opt to get some push-up bars. They seem fairly cheap. I still have a few…
  • Thanks for the advice. It is going to be a couple weeks before I purchase them so I'm going to keep looking around but I will definitely take your advice into consideration. This is my last week of Insanity so I'm going to do some light workouts for the next week to let my knees, ankles, and hips recover some.
  • Here is a link I use to log Insanity DVDs. http://www.everydayhealth.com/food-fitness/exercise-activity/calories-burned-conditioning-exercises I agree though, without a HRM it is hard to be accurate but I think this should be a good estimate.
  • I've made this a few times now. I have also now added "Bush's low sodium black beans". Drain and rinse them and this dish is excellent.
  • In between breakfast and lunch I will eat a banana or some type of fruit salad. At about 3:00 (which is an hour before I get off work) I normally eat a granola bar. We usually buy the large variety pack of Great Value granola bars for the kids. They are normally about 100 calories per bar. I found that if I don't eat in…
  • I'm starting the recovery week Monday. Add me if you would like. The first month has been very challenging but I have really enjoyed it so far.
  • Hello!

  • Thanks for all the responses so far. It has been a great help. I think I'm going to try the Body Fortress. Not sure of the flavor yet. That may depend on what is available when I go to the store next time. I also liked the comment on the chicken leg. The way my schedule works is that I have been doing Insanity videos as…
  • I've read a lot about people not liking the drinks. Are the protein bars any good? Do they do the same thing?
