  • Well, here we are Christmas Eve. Although I have not lost 20 lbs, I am happy to report that I have lost 10 lbs so far. I don't think I could have done as well on my own without the challenge. Hope everyone else has done well and met their goals. Merry Christmas. Anna:smile:
  • Wow, today is Thursday, Thanksgiving Day and boy am I grateful for this good fall weather. . If not I would have not burned off so many calories bicycling this week. This is my fourth time this week. Today I rode for 1 hr and clocked 17 miles. Best this week. Thank God I biked or I would be way over on my calories with…
  • Sorry, I have been riding and not logging. Last sunday rode for 30 minutes about 9 miles. Monday used spin bike for 1 hr. Tuesday 1 hr and 16 miles Wed 1 hr and 13 mi. It's been chilling, however, still not cold enough to put the bike up permanently for the winter. Keep riding.
  • Cardio, cardio, and more cardio. Mix it up and confuse your body. It will work. Just keep moving.
  • I am trying to move every day. Today, hiked with coworker 1 hr 40 min then rode bike for about 30 min. Feeling good. Although a 2 week stretch w/o break is tough. Planning on taking tomorrow off to let muscles recover.
  • The most important thing to do is before you eat, ask yourself, are you hungry, stressed, etc. If you truly are hungry then measure it on a scale of 0-10 with 0 being not hungry and 10 being starving. About half-way through your meal/snack, reevaluate again and before you finish reevaluate again. Constantly asking yourself…

  • Wow, I can't believe how much I have been eating and not realizing it until it is figurately speaking in black and white. Day 1 was bad, however, once I started logging, I am more concious of what I am eating and choosing to eat. It is also amazing how many calories you can burn by doing simple household chores. At this…
  • That's a really tough question. I am 5'4 and 162 lbs right now. I think I look and feel my best around 145-150. Recently went to dietician and she said for my height and medium built I should be around 136#. Not sure how she came to that conclusion. However, books that I have read suggest 100 # for 5' of height and then 5#…
  • Today I cycled in an indoor stationery bike race for handicapped children. It was awesome, as well as challenging. We had a team of 4 and each team member had to ride for minimum of 10 min. We each rode 15 mins rotatining. It doesn't sound like a lot of time. However, 10 mins at full speed ahead was quiet challenging.…
  • So glad I found this cycling challenge. I love bike riding. I have a hybrid that I haven't touched since I bought my road bike. I also have a spinner bike for off season. I attend spin classes 2x per week with a great instructor. I will work towards 3-5 days spinning for November. I am doing my first indoor stationery bike…
