  • I have found over the years attempting to lose weight that the key to feeling fuller longer is really all about protien. Cereal or oatmeal don't last long for me, either, but an egg and toast of PB and toast will hold me over for hours and hours.
  • Great idea!! Thanks!
  • I like the assertion that food is just food and I hope you keep defending it. I've learned that if I want a brownie I can check my calorie goals and decide if its really something thats worth it then I can stick to just one... It took me a long time to learn that as long as I'm mindful about what I eat I don't have to feel…
  • Name: Hayley Date: 7-22-2013 I almost forgot to post this week. The Good Diet - I logged everything Fitness - No good here :( Self -Image - I finally found a pair of pants in my "Smaller Clothes" Box that fit so yippee! • Weekly Check-In Name: Hayley Date: 07/14 The Good Diet - I tracked EVERYTHING on MFP, even the things I wanted to forget I ate. Fitness - Went for a check up and found that I'd lost 2.5% body fat. The doc said if someone my size had spent a couple hours in the gym a day and eaten the bare minimum of calories possible he'd…
  • I'm so happy I've lost weight because my developing sleep apnea went away!
  • Have a spoonful of peanut butter. If you don't like protien shakes try a carnation instant breakfast, more protien than regular milk but without the protien powder taste. Great job with your work outs!
  • Allowing what you imagine other people might be thinking about you is only going to hurt you in the end. Be proud of the person you are and how hard you are working. I also have a belly but I LOVE yoga. No, I can't go as deeply into the poses as non bellied people but I still get the benefits and thats all that really…
  • First, congrats on your loss! Losing that kind of weight is harder the smaller you are so don't let anyone make you feel like what you mangaed to do is not a big deal. Second, in your shoes I wouldnt say anything. A pat on the back and a sad frowny face are all I'd give. When someone hates thier body but doesn't want to do…
  • Sounds great! Always looking for yummy things to do with Chicken
  • My goal is to change the way I eat long term- and there are certain things I don't want to have to give up FOREVER so I allow myself treats now and then but they are always pre planned and logged. I don't spend 1 day every week eating everything in sight but I do figure out ways to eat what I'm craving without going over…
  • I've been trying to lose weight for a long time now, and I can't even count the number of times where it just didn't seem "worth it" to me either... and my weight just kept creeping up. Here's how I'm (trying) to look at it now. Lets say it takes three years to lose the 60 pounds I have left to go until my goal. Working…
  • Some people say the crappiest things in the name of "helping" My dad used to suggest that I chew my food up until it was mush and spit it back into a cup. No joke. I was 15. I understand now that he was trying to help in his own extremely idiotic way and didn't really want me to develop the sort of eating disorder he was…
  • P.S. There are a lot of lifters in this group. My work outs are at home so my strength training is all with hand weights. Hopefully I can still hang :)
  • Weekly Check-In Name: Hayley Date: 7/6/13 The Good Diet - I stayed under my calorie goal every day except the 4th, and I was under enough the rest of the week that the average still kept me in line. Fitness - I had that pleasantly sore feeling every day this week, you know the one that makes you feel the work you did the…
  • Wow, I'm so excited to see this group. I just wrote a blog post stating my goals for July a few days ago and in it I wrote that I'm not looking to be perfect, just better. I am currently over 200 pounds. If I work to get better that number is bound to go down. So, here are my goals for July. I've only been really dedicated…
  • I made these on friday for a work day breakfast... This morning I only managed to eat half of one before I got carried away with work but it kept me full for 3 hours- no easy feat as I'm ALWAYS hungry in the morning. Thanks for sharing!!
