My last job was like that. We had 6 floors with only 2 of us working. There were times when I ran down the hallway to get to the next lit area because I was so freaked out. There had been reports of mental health clients being in the building for who knows what reason after hours.

She broke her leg walking in ridiculously high heals and wanted me to pay the hospital bills

I think it is three in order to prevent them from doing anything like..... not breathing ;)

I thought 4 point restraints were a no-no now lol Thought it had to be 3, AND someone had to watch them all the time.

lol Fortunately, most of what I did was assess their risk/lethality and convince them to meet with the mobile crisis team. If it was really bad and they didn't wanna meat with the crisis team, we called the cops and let them deal with it :) We weren't a talk line, so I didn't have to listen to them tell their whole life…

I like steak.

Yeah... its not exactly my first choice though. I used to be a paramedic, and if I could go back to that I would. Also used to work for a suicide crisis line, also night shift. Still looking for another crisis line to work for til I finish school :)

Hello all. I work 11-7 at a DV shelter. Looking forward to going home :)

You might want to double check that everything got entered correctly. Check pounds vs kilos, weight, all that. 5000 is insane!

I'm motivated by a desire to either save my relationship or get sexy enough to say "hey, butthead..." after the relationship ends. Also, I want to have a baby and I want to give it the best chance I can... which means not being obese when I get pregnant. :)

If you are still taking bipolar medication, make sure to let your dr know about your weight loss goals and discuss whether the medication is adding to the weight. I was taking amitryptaline (for sleep and migraine prevention) which is an antidepressant..... I gained 25 lbs in 2 months after I started taking it, so he…

I work the night shift, and since dinner is the first meal I eat when I wake up (cuz that's when my bf gets home) I use the crock pot a lot. Throw stuff in there before I go to bed, its done by the time I wake up. You can get the crock pot set up in the morning and come home to an awesome smelling house (well maybe with 2…

Just a general thought... Just because the doctor says to take something doesn't mean you HAVE to. You may be refusing against medical advice, but you still have the right to say no to any medication.

Are you measuring and tracking everything? If not, you may want to start there to see how many calories in you're actually getting.
-
One more thing, if you decide you want to take the journey to lose weight, you need to build a support system. Even a small one or an online one (99% of my support system is online). Even after you start making progress, people still give you the same looks... They don't know that you've already lost 50 or 100 lbs. :(

Not being able to love yourself is very difficult. There's a constant mantra inside your head telling you you're not good enough, you're a piece of crap, you're just a fat blob that will never get anywhere and noone will ever love you. Trust me, you're not alone in that. I've heard all the names... I've had people yell fat…

I agree about the Oikos pumpkin pie. My only regret was that they only had one :(

I take a prenatal vitamin, glucosamine and melatonin. :)

Well if not eating back your exercise calories isn't working for you, then try something different. I use runkeeper when I'm working out, but I also use my Fitbit to make sure I'm eating at a 1000 calorie deficit since I have my preferences set to Sedentary. If you've got yours set on sedentary, you might have too much a…

Perhaps you're not seeing progress because you are restricting too much? If you're only getting 1000 calories a day, and doing all of that running around, maybe you need to eat more. Do you use a fitbit or anything to calculate calories from all the running around you do? Try eating some of your exercise calories and see…

Hello :) If ya'll like taco bell, try making tacos at home. You can use lean ground beef, and if you measure how much meat and cheese you put on it, you can actually keep them pretty reasonable. A lot of the meals I make are in a crock pot, because I work overnight/sleep during the day, but like to have dinner ready when…

No, I haven't had any mean-spirited breakups. Have you ever been fired?

I stopped on the way to work one day and got a McDonalds value meal, a bunch of yummy stuff from Taco Bell, AND a KFC chicken strip meal. It was all soooooo yummy......

Lawl. with that formula I'd be eating 2800 calories a day. Where do I sign up for losing weight eating that much? Do I have to update my body's firmware?
-
I started taking it because it is supposed to also boost serotonin levels. When I take it as intended, I do not see weight loss results (at all) and I've been sleeping better without it.

I'll miss my Horde sweatshirts, but I'll just buy them again in a smaller size.
