Wasn't trying to police how others feel about themselves. Was expressing how it made me feel. Sorry for doing that in a support forum.

I use happy scale to smooth out my body's fluctuations, plus seeing my change over time is hugely motivating. I also like to open up my workout tracker for motivation. Like "wow, I did all of that."

It sounds like there is something going on with her that maybe she isn't telling you. Maybe she's afraid if she loses the weight she'll have loose skin and she won't be attractive to you anymore because of that. Maybe she was raped in the past and her weight is a subconscious way to keep attackers away. Maybe she has PCOS…

PTSD, Depression, and food tastes really good.

@lilaclovebird I feel your pain. I've had to reset our fire alarm 3 times tonight. Its starting to piss me off. The fire alarm system was supposedly disabled for several months, so I don't know why it's still alarming at the panel. Maintenance knows it does it, but since it doesn't happen during the day, they don't care.

This night needs to be over. Two nights in a row I've fallen asleep at work. (Only been getting about 4 hours of sleep a day because we've been moving, and yesterday was my first day sleeping in new place.... no blackout curtains so I slept horribly.)

Only liked missionary.

When you say you're eating clean, you aren't saying that you're tracking how much you eat. If you're not creating a deficit between what you eat and what you burn, you're not going to lose, and you won't know if you're in a deficit unless you track religiously.

She wanted me to watch pokemon while I was at work!

It depends on a lot of things, like how long you were together, whether you were in love, whether you initiated the break up, etc. Pretty much, take extra time for self-care for a while. Do something for you just because. Don't be afraid to cry or scream or vent your anger, but do so appropriately.

MrM27, I realize that 1400 calories of only alcohol would signify a problem and would not be meeting all of the macronutrients. I'm sorry you didn't understand what I was trying to post. I guess I will do more research.

Well... if you like cooking, what about baking for your local firehouse? They WILL notice if part of the pie is missing btw, so don't even think of sneaking a taste.

There have been too many times that I have been out walking and someone has yelled things out their car window at me... "Why are you out walking when you should be in my bed?" "Whale" "Go home fatass." These are complete strangers yelling this stuff to me. It really hurts... So yes, this fear is alive and well in me.…

Chocolate displaces the oils. My boyfriend swears habaneros clear up sickness... so everytime he starts getting sick, I'm off to the store for habaneros and chocolate bars. It seems to work for him.

If hating yourself helps you lose weight, then more power to you. Personally, I don't think you look bad at all. For me, hating the way I look leads me to binge...

For me, breakfast is the biggest meal of the day, because I work the night shift and what I eat for breakfast is what my boyfriend eats for dinner.

Hell no. Smoking is disgusting, and you look like an idiot for doing it. Especially when its 2 degrees outside and you have to go outside to smoke.

Lets say you do have an addiction to food... There's nothing that any of us can do to make you stop. You still need to make the decision that you value being healthy more than the fast food, and you still need to exercise the willpower to not give in.

I usually do my workout at 4am central also :) I'm at work, but getting paid to workout is awesome.

I'm mad that there are McDonald's on every corner... It's hard enough to stay within my calories without having the golden arches calling my name everywhere.

There might not be evidence that a specific food, such as sugar, is addictive, but there is evidence that overeating is a form of addiction. For example: Barry, D., Clarke, M., & Petry, N. M. (2009). Obesity and Its Relationship to Addictions: Is Overeating a Form of Addictive Behavior?. American Journal On Addictions,…

I would assume that a therapy dog would have to have some kind of training right? Don't they come through some sort of agency? I'd expect the agency to have some sort of protocol about vacinating... weird.

Where in TX are you LadyRN? We got nothing but rain here in DFW. Although stopping to put air in all four tires in the pouring rain @ 35 degrees was not fun.

Just FYI... the word is lose not loose. Loose is how your pants feel after you lose a lot of weight.
-
Do you send motivation back? I just pruned my friends list because noone bothered to even click like on ANY of my posts. I asked what I can do to be more supportive to those on my friends list, and not a single person responded.

I find that if I cheat on the weekends, and eat my exercise calories during the week, I lose more than when I don't cheat.

I don't care if my boyfriend loses weight. I love him exactly the way he is, but I would still love him if he lost weight or even gained. However, I know that his weight is a big downer for his self-esteem. He calls himself a blob quite often because since he had double hip replacements, he has gained quite a bit of weight…

Oh you're right. I forgot stuffing. I have it in the cabinet ready to go. Forgot cranberry sauce too which I still need to buy.

My last job was like that. We had 6 floors with only 2 of us working. There were times when I ran down the hallway to get to the next lit area because I was so freaked out. There had been reports of mental health clients being in the building for who knows what reason after hours.
