  • Agreed - this is probably the case. Your body constantly adapts in response to your weightloss so evaluating your calorie intake after so much loss is important. Perhaps even the addition of another rest day would benefit for a time.
  • I was vegetarian from age 4-27. About 6/8 months ago something happened and I craved meat, I started off with chicken, but have now eaten all sorts of meats and really really value them in my diet. I still eat a lot of vegetarian meals, and still have strong feelings about animal welfare so am very particular about where…
  • Hey, I'm fairly new here and definitely up for some support! I use the mobile app mainly but have spent time on the forums this weekend and found it really useful. I've lost 11lbs so far and have another 20 to go to be back at my pre-pneumonia/steroids weight!
  • I'n in ED recovery, I was anorexic for over 10 years. If you need some advice feel free to message me.
  • Well done - you look amazing! The best part is, your smile is so much bigger in the 'after' photos.
  • 28 and can totally relate to what you said! Feel free to add me, I'm always looking to expand my support network.
  • Hi all! I am 6ft, so not quite as tall as some of you but it's great to see so many other people who are in the 'tall bracket'. I think weight loss can be a whole different ball game for us mentally; we always feel bigger and wider and more cumbersome no matter what we lose. In my opinion, feeling good about myself through…
  • I've been doing some research on this too, for those days when I don't have time for the gym. I have found, like some have mentioned above, that 30 Day Shred seems to be the best place to start. It is one of the most competetively priced and I've read good write ups of results. You don't need a great deal of space, and…
  • Well done, you look so vibrant - really suits you!
  • No, it's not possible to impact vision directly through diet. But, what could be causing it is that your healthier eating/exercise has eliminated fatigue, and fatigue can contribute to poor vision/reduced visual acuity.
  • If I need to feel energised I try a quick walk or a shower. If it's a distraction from snacking - nail painting is always a good one! I find myself tired a lot of the time at the moment, it's very frustrating. M
  • This is the answer you need. Vitamin supplements are only effective where there is a proven deficiency. The body has a saturation level for processing vitamins, it will only metabolise whats needed. So topping up un necessarily on vitamins will basically just give you some fancier urine. I don't know a great deal about the…
  • Sounds like all the sensible advice has already been covered. But I would say it could be worth trying Green Tea; I know people who have found this to be the cure to constipation just with one or two cups a day. Worth a try.
  • If it refers to Ketones as in the process of Ketosis then yes, this doesn't sound useful! Ketones are produced when fat/fatty acids are metabolised. A supplement of them can't implicate that process beneficially in my opinion.
  • Agreed! I really want to give this a go, I think it would have useful transfer for my gym workouts too. I need to get some weights for home and I'm good to go.
  • Cals for the Whip are on p4!
  • It looks as though it'son page one here: http://globalassets.starbucks.com/assets/CD840986D5264B3A9487EF8EB5A33E3C.pdf The calories in the Frap won't be any greater than the Latte I wouldnt have thought (&if anything probably less) so I would log 214 for it. Hope that helps
  • Are you US or UK?
  • Yorkshire! I'm fairly new here, but have a few British friends on the site and love the support. If anyone wants to expand their MFP network feel free to add me as a friend. I use the iPhone app mainly but am trying to use the forums now at weekends as there's some really great info. M
  • You've answered a lot of my questions here!! Thanks. I use the gym, but there are times when I just can't get there with my schedule. I've never used a workout DVD before and 30 Day Shred seems like a great start (thanks to your review!). I'll give it a go - good price too. Do you need a lot of space to complete it…
  • This is right ^. However, I don't know if MFP calculates individual calorie expenditure based on weight for your logged exercise. I believe that if two users of a different weight were to log the exact same exercise/duration from one of the pre-populated choices that the recorded 'burn' would be the same. I'd be interested…
