Happy December! Glad to see this thread has some activity. I am determined to meet this goal this month. Focus, focus, focus!

I'm in, but my starting weight will be from today 11/30. SW: 126 CW: 126 GW: 121 My current struggle is reclaiming good nutrition. I have always eaten well, but for the last few months I have lost that desire. I don't feel well anymore. Time for a tune up!

I'm late to this party, but can I jump onboard?

Is Spotify free or is there a charge? I think my son uses it.

It depends on how cold it is. If it's really cold I get up at 3:30am and run out to the garage and turn the heater on. I then come back to bed until 4:30am. Get up have some coffee, and start workout around 4:50am. I am generally done by 6am.

I don't use Spotify. I use Pandora. I have several stations set and it just shuffles.

Red quinoa is typically the base of all my lunches. I cook on the weekend and put the food in individual jars for the week. Just think of what flavors you like and the possibilities are endless. A few of my favorites are turkey curry quinoa, buffalo chicken quinoa, and pineapple chicken quinoa. I have no recipes really,…

I agree! I just created my own Fitness Blender category and put all my workouts under that whether they are strength or cardio.

How have you been using Fitness Blender? Do you do random workouts or are you following a program? I used to just do random, whatever sounded good that day, workouts, but then I decided to invest in one of their programs. It really changed the way I workout. I refuse to join a gym, but I was ok paying $6.99 for an eight…

The calorie burns vary for me. I use a heart rate monitor, so I know my actual burn. Most of the time I am in the lower range of what they estimate. I got lucky last year when a friend moved and gave me a bunch of dumbbells and a bench. I bought a barbell set at Dick's over a year ago. A few months ago I was donating at…

http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/103787-fitness-blender-friends I created a group today. Hope the link works.

I never get 1000 calories out of their 1000 calorie workouts either, but I am ok with that! I know I am smaller and somewhat fit, so I expect to burn less. But sometimes I think I should have lifted heavier during them.

I hated today's workout. It was Tabata style, 8 rounds of 20 seconds each. I just don't like 8 rounds!! So whiney. LOL It did get me 561 burned calories though.

Shoveling snow!

Great job making the commitment! I am a morning workout person. I leave for work around 7:15am, so I am up at 4:15am (3:30am if I need to turn the heater on in the garage, but then it's back to bed until 4:15am) to be starting on my workout by 4:50am. I have to have coffee first, or else I wouldn't have to get up so early.…

Can you go to a running store and be screened by the employees? I don't know where you live, but I bet you have one you can visit. They can put you on the treadmill and analyze your gait, helping to determine how much support you need. Then they bring out tons of shoes for you to try on and determine what feels best. I…

Do you own a heart rate monitor? When I did Insanity I entered each workout individually like mentioned above, but I knew my calorie burn from my HRM.

This!

It is the **only** thing that works for me. I really like large volume meals, so while I count calories, I also seek out foods that I can get more volume per calorie. It ends up being a win-win. I get more food and better nutrition because I am then eating food with much better nutritional content. I will also bank…

I see that MFP has your daily caloric goal around 1800. I don't know how tall you are or how much you weigh, but for me, if I ate 1800 calories per day, I would not lose weight either. Have you looked around to see how to manually figure caloric needs based on your goals and your activity levels? I know it is frustrating.…

I highly recommend FitnessBlender. You can find just about anything there, and Daniel and Kelly do it right - no gimmicks, no magic pills, nothing. You don't even need equipment - they will tell you to use what you have. Oh, and did I mention it is all FREE? Love them!

Try adding some spices to it and use it as a vegetable dip. You could make it mexican with cumin, red pepper, and ground coriander. Or mash it up with an avocado, lime juice, salt and pepper.

I don't have a recipe I follow, but here is what I do - I cook red quinoa in vegetable broth (I use 0.75 cup of quinoa and 1.5 cups of vegetable broth) as the base layer. Then I have chopped carrots and celery as the next layer, then cook one pound of ground chicken breast and toss it with buffalo sauce and add that layer.…

So many votes for mixed! I am truly outnumbered. :#

I have a really silly question - what is the benefit of adding friends on MFP over using group message boards? I have never used the friends section of MFP, but if it helps, I am willing to give it a try.

The problem with hummus is I can't stop eating it! Once I start, it is over. Love that stuff. I have a pumpkin quinoa dish I make that works out to be about 188 calories per serving. I eat it for lunch though, because I love big dinners. My breakfast is usually 3 ounces of spinach along with 1 cup of egg whites. I put red…

Greek yogurt is higher in protein, but if you really want the pretzels, eat the pretzels. I have Pretzel Crisps nearly every night. Maybe as a compromise, if you are looking for better nutrition, eat a Greek yogurt and a few pretzels.

Love it. Thank you everyone for sharing. I really needed your shared commitment to make a small change for today to keep me accountable. Now, I may need to go to bed at 7pm to stick with it, but I will stick with it!!!!

I think it needs some seasoning. Other than that, looks good, but I would want some protein in there - beans maybe?

They have an egg white salad that I really like. It is pricey, but still, a decent lunch when paired with a wrap that I buy at Aldi's. When I know I have a tough week coming up, I buy five of them and know that my lunch is taken care of. I also like their boxed wine. ;)
