  • @dsboohead awesome job to you! Thanks for the share. I agree that tracking everything I eat and weight loss will continue to be vital as I live with T2D. I have also added in glucose shredding fat burning workouts. they are not the funnest thing in the world to do however I know the benefits I get from doing the slow burn…
  • @SaraKim17 Keep you head up my friend. Things will certainly get better as you figure out how to navigate your way through this journey. Being dishonest when it comes to my T2D will only end up hurting me physically in the long run. I have had to face the reality of leading a healthier lifestyle and making better choices…
  • Awesome share and thank you for lending us some insight into your journey, your struggles and your successes! Congrats on getting the scale to move down. It certainly looks as though you are on a really good path towards getting your BGL where it needs to be. I go back in next week to get my blood drawn for my next batch…
  • Excellent work Ralphone and the scale is moving in your favor also! Great job! Have a good weekend peeps!
  • Happy Friday Peeps the weekend is upon us.....just started up a mini 7 day challenge......for me 60 min of cardio related activity per day minimum....only asking for this challenge to just be active...minimum of 25 minutes...you in? Have an awesome weekend! (Already knocked out my cardio session for today....I may be…
  • What are some of your favorite Roasted Potato seasonings? I love garlic and herb, old bay, seasoned salt and cracked pepper on mine....I mix it up depending on my mood but those are my staples. I spray my roasted tators with Pam then season em then in the oven they go for a nice roast.
  • I used to eat those but the calories add up too quickly. I think the Ore Ida ones are flash fried and then frozen...I seem to get way more bang for my buck using fresh potatoes......... I love me some tater tots though : ). I have to count those puppies out...9 per serving...adds up quick. I have replaced them with…
  • I think part of your problem might be with the name. Instead of calling them "fries" and deeming them a NO NO NO, how about you call them "roasted potatoes"?[/quote] Roasted potatoes.............yes yes yes............I like this mucho! Normally I do dice my potatoes up or cut them into wedges and season them up with my…
  • This morning my Mirror showed me that although I think I have been doing some pretty good things in the gym that it might be time to start targeting my abs.........the mirror was very encouraging though in reminding me that I have taken off some inches off of my mid section. What say you?
  • Well hello there and that is an awesome mirror mirror share! You reminded me that my id is about to expire soon and I too shall have a slimmer face than I did last renew time around. Awesome for you and thanks for the share!
  • Challenge accepted......go ahead and take a peak and search out something positive that the mirror showed you today.
  • Ralphone that is outstanding my friend! You are an inspiration, keep at it! Hoping to join you in the under 200 club soon.
  • Nice job on your routine and on staying off the late night snacking. I too have found that late night workouts help me not to snack. It is hard to shove food into my mouth while swinging a golf club. Once I finish working out I rarely feel like eating so that process works out for me as well. Keep up the great work!
  • I am a type 2 diabetic and am currently on a mission to use my diet as a means as helping to lower my A1C glucose numbers. I have been reading up on books about carbs and how they affect and impact blood sugar. I have found that not all carbs are created equally. Certain carbs get absorbed into the blood stream quicker…
  • Thank you everyone for your replies! Yes I do make them from scratch. Until now I have always felt a little guilty about eating them as I thought they were not a very good choice health wise. I have cut out so many things that I like though so this is one of the few things that I hold on to. I tend to rinse, then slice my…

  • Hello again everyone.........I do 5 day 2 day IF. On my low cal days I do a total of 600 cals each day. On my 5 on days I eat what I want however try to keep things between 1800-2100 cals per day. I am a type 2 diabetic and am required to exercise daily. • Thank you for the share. Does cooking your fries this way cut down on the calories.......I love fries but the calories........so hefty. Also when counting calories do you weigh out your potatoes before or after you have fried them?
  • Not certain what BBG refers to however nice gains, great definition, more hard work paid off with phenomenal results! Congrats!

  • Happy Wednesday everyone! This morning my mirror showed me that the pants that I did not need a belt for 6 months ago due to how snugly they fit now require a belt to keep them from falling to my ankles : ). Almost time to go shopping for some better fitting clothes. What say you?
  • Hello everyone i am turning 47 next month and am on a mission to finally get my weight back down to my goal weight of 185. I have erased almost 40 pounds however it has been a pretty lonely journey. Looking for friends who just like to interact on this journey. Hopefully there are some fit folks (we are here thus we are…
  • Nicely done Ralphone.......keep it going bud!
  • That is a great way to go about attacking the snack...........another thing to keep in mind is that that feeling of being "hungry" is actually our stomach shrinking back down to its normal size. I use this as a reminder to run away from the snacks while my tummy is shrinking back down.
