Thank you for letting us know! Please tell him he was a big inspiration for m and I wish him success.

I'm so glad you posted this-I miss him too! He was a tremendous inspiration, even though we were only MFP friends for a few weeks, I was really surprised when he disappeared.

I needed this post today! Thank you for sharing. We all struggle with this from time to time...

Wow!!!!! Congratulations on your fantastic achievements and thank you for sharing!

I completely agree with the similarities between overeating and addiction. I have to keep my focus on non-food related activities every single day. I love the tokens and am awed by the grandfather's sobriety. I want weight loss tokens.

i wonder the same thing!
-
Congratulations!!!! Keep the success pics coming! So motivating for all of us.

Congratulations on your loss! I don't know the answer, but I am glad you posted the question-what made you increase your calories? Was it only because the weight loss had slowed to .2 per week? How did you arrive at your new calorie intake? May I ask what your exercise regime is? Thanks!

Urgh. My calves are my most unattractive feature. Nothing I do seems to change them. Will try to incorporate strength training and hope that as the weight comes off they will slim down.

This is incredibly touching. Thank you for posting.

This is a great thread. For me it was eliminating all processed food and sugar and switching from coffee to tea.

I am SO proud of you!!! Keep up the amazing work, keep logging and exercising and drinking water. I'm so impressed you found a great trainer, I'm sure that helps so much. Thank you for posting! Keep us updated on your progress!

A note to MFPers who are looking for high quality inserts that don't make your feet sweat: Hafpad.com is a website that sells 100% wool inserts for a variety of issues: arch support, metatarsal problems, bunions, etc. I highly recommend them. They products last the life of the shoe (no synthetic foam to get compressed) and…

I'm technically a 9WW but I always buy 10 regular because a) I don't like saying "double wide" and b) it's hard to find 9ww. I had about 30 pairs of 9-9.5 regular width shoes that I got rid of right before I started with MFP. I will probably be kicking myself when I get to goal because I know my feet will drop a size. Or…

I'm so sorry that you are struggling, but I really appreciate your post. I have only begun my weight loss journey, but from a past experience with Weight Watchers, I know exactly what you are talking about. Although I lost a fraction of the weight you have lost, I was very obsessive and unhappy, wasn't proud of my progress…

Not sure this will help you or not as we are all different, but I find that the more water I drink the better my weight loss-not only does it make me feel fuller, sometimes i mistake hunger for thirst, and I think water helps with overall elimination.

Every time you have a victory, scale or non-scale, you inspire and encourage someone else. You can do this. Promise. Take it one meal at a time. One hour at a time. Thoughts: Lean on others for support. Read the community boards/ success stories for inspiration. Don't be afraid of "making a mistake". You will. We all do.…

Oh! One more thing! Log each and every single bite you take. It is so helpful not only for accountability, but also so that you can learn about what works best for your body. For example, I increased my daily protein goal and decreased my daily carbohydrate goal and found that this works best for my daily satiety and means…

Congratulations on joining and your very healthy relationship to weight/numbers. I have found the community on MFP enormously helpful, and I would encourage you to do the following: Take the time to congratulate yourself and post/publish (either publicly or in a journal) all of your victories-a .2 loss, an evening when you…

That concept, eating at maintenance every ten pounds makes a lot of sense to me.

This is an awesome thread. When I started six weeks ago I got tired walking for 20 minutes. Now I can walk for 100 minutes. When I started six weeks ago I ate All. The. Time. Now I eat when I am hungry with occasional slip ups.

Awesome job, and thank you so much for sharing! It's so important to share all of our victories.

HOLY MOLY!!! Everyone looks terrific. Thank you so much to all the posters for giving us encouragement and showing us it is possible! Serious congratulations are in order to al of you.

Hi there, I struggle with the very same issues (as do many people, I suspect) and I have cut out all added sugar and refined carbohydrates. I don't think this is a recommendation for everyone, but for me personally, I have found that added sugar and refined carbohydrates trigger something in me that makes me crave more and…
