@AngryViking1970 - What is your cocktail sauce recipe?

@NicoleL874 - Sending lots of positive vibes your way today.

Mine didn't set a goal for me. They did a lot of counseling that stressed that most VSG patients only lose up to 75% of excess weight. Of course, I have a goal in mind, but that goal might change. I never remember weighing less than 170 pounds as an adult (I'm 5"4'), so I have no idea where my ideal weight/size will…

Welcome @Brandi_lm. This group is really helpful and supportive.

@pneschich - That is so cool!

I settled into eating about 1,000 - 1,400 calories a day somewhere around the 3 month mark. That's still what I'm eating almost 7 months out. I also tend to eat about 6 times a day like you're doing. I'm losing 7-9 pounds a month and I'm happy with how it's working. I feel satisfied by that amount of food and it fuels me…

This does involve the scale, but I'm going to argue that it's still a NSV. I lost weight while on vacation. I don't know about you, but for me, vacations used to center around food. I did eat some yummy stuff on this trip, but all of the experiences weren't focused on where and what I would eat. I was intentionally active,…

I took an 8 hour flight yesterday. Flying was so much more comfortable than it was 75 pounds ago.

I'm a state employee in Texas and my employer-sponsored plan did not cover WLS. It also didn't cover IVF, so I basically pay out-of-pocket whenever I really need medical care. #bitterpartyofone

Last night I got home from bootcamp at 8:00pm. At 8:15pm I had my bra off and my pajamas on when my neighbor texted and asked if I wanted to go for a walk. You guys, I put my bra back on and went for a 7,000 step stroll. I don't even recognize myself.

I followed through on tracking, moving and drinking today. Feels good to have a day of the right choices behind me.

No tips to share (I haven't worked my way up to running yet), but I wanted to say that I'm really inspired by all of the runners in the group.

@Mandy_1982 - way to get after it!

My surgery was only six months ago. I've lost about half of the weight I hope to shift. I have the same regret as everyone else... I just wish I had done this sooner. I'd have the surgery again in a heartbeat.

@Ultima_Morpha - Nice job!

@Lizakabibbis - Way to go! 5am is no joke. :)

@AllisonMart - Thank you and... that is AWESOME! I was a slacker and didn't go this morning. I'll think of you when I get my butt up and go Wednesday morning.

Great photos! You all are killing it. :)

@samquentin - Glad to hear you're having a good recovery experience.

I'm 5 months post-op from VSG. Weekends might have more variety, but I keep things pretty routine on weekdays. This is what a typical weekday looks like for me... 6:45AM - Banana Smoothie (half a Premier Protein shake, half a banana, 1/4c. greek yogurt and a cup of ice) 9:30AM - 1oz. Sharp Cheddar 11:00AM - 3/4c. Chicken…

@jcavanna2 - I just wanted to say that you're doing a really good job and I'm sorry about your dog.

@loriloftness - good idea.

Way to get creative.

I've embraced the hair loss that came after my surgery. I'm rocking a new wig today and it's a much more "fun" style than my first one. I figure I might as well enjoy wearing a style that my natural hair could never manage.
