@Ultima_Morpha I'm super-impressed! I probably run about 10-15 miles a week. I need to step that up as i get closer to half in October and full next April.
Did you switch up distance and pace on different days?1 -
@Aztec4Life I do mix it up based on how I'm feeling. I'm not terribly structured. My usual run is right around 10 miles but I cut back both pace and mileage to do this every day run.1

Yesterday I went through my closet and donated (literally) 12 bags of clothes. Work clothes, play clothes, anything that was too big. It felt so good to get it all out of my closet! I even got rid of hangars that had a 1x, 2x, or 16/18 sizing in them. No room for that anymore. I did keep dresses that fit me today that I would wear in fall and winter but even with 10 pounds ore lost, they too will be too big. Makes me feel so good.
Oh yes... and this... I had a pair of white shorts circa 1994. They were my favorite and I have not worn them since 96.... Well I put them on, zipped them up and buttoned them. Ran to my daughters room to tell her the good news (she is 11)... she says; "Wow Mom that is great, but you should stick to skirts and dresses! " LOL I appreciate her honesty but I kept those damn shorts anyway just because!

@Ultima_Morpha - Nice job!1

Last night I got home from bootcamp at 8:00pm. At 8:15pm I had my bra off and my pajamas on when my neighbor texted and asked if I wanted to go for a walk. You guys, I put my bra back on and went for a 7,000 step stroll. I don't even recognize myself.

So this will not seem like much to all the runners in the group, but it's pretty huge for me. I have went from 95% sedentary and taking the elevator 4 months ago, to not only taking the stairs, but running up them! 4 months ago, I could barely get out of my car because it sits so low to the ground and now I am running up 3 flights of stairs several times a day. I can't wait to see what I can do once I have my surgery next week!!12

@cjcarter77 Do me a favor, stop putting things like, "This will not seem like much..." in your comments. Accept your victories as your own. Accept that we all were where you are and know how important every little victory is. There are still days, even after running a 5k, that I am still amazed by how many times I'm able to walk up and down my stairs without needing a rest. There are days I walk into my pantry and stand up shocked that I fit inside it because at one point my thigh would barely fit. There are days I still pull my jeans out of the dryer, amazed that they will fit me! We get it. Accept all your victories with utter excitement. When you add comments like that, it's like a comparison, and "comparison is the thief of joy"! Congrats on running up them! Keep those victories coming LOUD AND PROUD!10

This is my first time posting a NSV! Sweat pants that were tight in me in January and starting to fall off now!9

I think I like seeing the NSVs more than the weight loss! As for me, still sticking to my "5k everday" in June. I think next month I'll start a more regimented training plan for first Half Marathon in October.6

I've been walking around my neighborhood at least once per day, usually in the evening when it cools down. It's a 30 minute stroll. I can't wait to get a Fitbit (or something alike) to track my steps every day.
I was cleared to get back into the pool, so I started my water aerobics class back up today. It felt really good to be able to get back into the pool and move around.
I'm loving being more active and it's exciting to think of where I'll be a year from now.8 -
I took an 8 hour flight yesterday. Flying was so much more comfortable than it was 75 pounds ago.11

You're right, it doesn't seem like much. IT IS MUCH...it is everything. We know exactly how you're feeling because, despite what we can do now, we all remember that liberating feeling of those early victories. You're at the start of the rest of your life. You're going to go from "Yay me, I ran up the stairs!" to "Yay me, I ran a 5 or 10 or 20K or a marathon"!9 -
The boyfriend wears a size small t-shirt. Last night I was complaining about my pajama shirts being dirty (all are xl or 2x) so he said wear one of mine. I thought for sure I would look like a busted can of biscuits but I tried it on and it fit AND looked good! So I can officially wear a SMALL men's t-shirt at the beginning of my journey I was a men's 2XL.15

Just had a family reunion and I was able to participate in the sack race...no worries that I wouldn't fit in it.

Yes ma'am, that is the plan! I can't wait to see what all I can do! Thanks for the encouragement!4 -
It hasn't happened yet but my GF has promised to treat me to a new tattoo now that my Trend Weight is less than 200lbs. 199.9 as of today! I've been under 200 a few times but now that it's my average it feels more "real". It's hard to believe I'm literally half the man i was a few years ago.11

This does involve the scale, but I'm going to argue that it's still a NSV. I lost weight while on vacation. I don't know about you, but for me, vacations used to center around food. I did eat some yummy stuff on this trip, but all of the experiences weren't focused on where and what I would eat. I was intentionally active, I had a great time and didn't feel restricted and I still stuck to fueling my body in a way that moved me toward my goal. That is a major vacation behavior shift for me.13

This is awesome! Plus you could resale them to recoup some money for your new jeans you need1 -
I was able to do 40 minutes on the elliptical machine with no problem. Before just doing 5 minutes would wipe me out. I still feel too heavy on my knees to jog around my neighborhood, but I feel like I want to do it soon After I lose a bit more weight I think I'll try it.9

I bought a super cute shirt off line (from Torrid), in a size 1... I was in a 3 pushing 4.... I bought it in a 1, which should be too small, & I could fit later, got the shirt && it fits now! .
So awesome.9 -

I just ordered from levis.com...I have no experience with levis but hey-they are cheap and Im sure they will be going to goodwill as well, soon -when they fall off! Although I am sure the goodwill peeps will be considerably less excited to receive them....haaaa!1 -

I tried my first spinning class this week. I only lasted 25 minutes of the 45 minute class, but for never trying it I would say that's progress. Hoping to try Zumba soon. I'm definitely going to start taking advantage of the classes at my gym from now on6

We're finally renovating some rooms and I get to put my socks in the new closet. Everything else is way too big! Even my XL tops are loose! Plus, my 3 new pairs of basketball shorts that are Men's Medium (were Men's XL) fall down when I paint! And they're TIED snug!7
-
@Mandy_1982 I LOVE to spin and been doing it for at least 15 years. It will take a few sessions, but eventually you will get through the entire class and will be able to get into 2nd and 3rd position when your butt is off the seat/you stand.
My NSV - when I was spinning this morning I didn't feel nearly as much of a belly and thigh jiggle like I used to..lol4 -
I went out with a friend and her children (while mine stayed at home Muahahaha!) and she had to run an errand (grocery shopping at Aldi). When I was walking around with her, I had to keep pulling up my shorts. Shorts that I've been wearing for the last 2 years with no problem. This is the first noticeable thing since losing any weight for me.3
