I'm officially in the "overweight" BMI category instead of the "obese!" Feels great. Also, wearing a size 14/16 comfortably...and I am a tall, large boned woman. At my "perfect" weight I wore a size 12. I can't believe I'm that close!8

At 15 days post-op VSG my surgeon took me off blood pressure meds. I've been on them since I was 25 (12 years)!! Whoop whoop!13

Made camping reservations in Baxter State Park so we can climb Mt. Katahdin in July!! So excited. I haven't climbed this highest peak in Maine since I was 22.
elevation 5267' - it will be approx an 8-10 hr hike.10 -
In February, I ran an on road 5k for the first time in 20 years. Now it is the minimum run distance and I do a 10k at least once a week!9

I started a new job in February in a construction company. I'm working in the office with another woman who's a little bit older than me. Some of the shop guys don't know my name, so they refer to me as the "hot one"... lol

I had a cardiac echo today and unlike the one two years ago, the tech didn't say, "Oh sh***. I'll be right back," run out of the room, and bring back 2 cardiologists and call 911.
I don't know the exact results, but that *didn't* happen. And I heard it beat, so it's neither cold nor dead, as is rumored. I'm feeling good. That's the victory right there. I feel good.14 -
I got to go to Canada's Wonderland which I haven't been to in 13 years. I fit in ALL the rides! Some were pretty tight and a couple were quite painful but I FIT. I'm going again in August and I will fit more comfortably

I've run 10k each day for the past 3 days. I'm considering going all crazy and doing it every day this week. It could be challenging since I had to leave on a business trip this morning but it is a little cooler and less humid in MD than TX...I might be able to manage an evening run tomorrow after work.7

I'm wrong. It is hot and miserable in Maryland. I'll save my 70km challenge for another week...I'll shoot for 50km this week.1 -
We just got back from 10 days in Alaska. Not only did I hike a ton, but when my daughter fell at the top of a 3300 foot mountain and hurt herself, I was able to help get her down the mountain in less than 35 minutes. No way could I have gotten myself down, much less helped carry a 6yo down in that kind of time pre surgery. Luckily, she's ok, just a wicked bloody nose and some minor scraps and bruises.9

I hit a new distance milestone on my run this morning. 15.4km/9.5 miles paced only about 4 seconds per mile slower than my usual 10km time.4

This past week, I dropped into a size 6 jeans, as I mentioned up there. In the last 3 months, I've lost only 6lbs, but almost 10 inches all over. Some of my floppy arm batwings have gone and the sponginess around my middle is going. The firming up is finally starting to happen.9

After my 2.25hr yoga workout yesterday where I lay on the mat and tried to decide if I was dying or not, I noticed some abs coming in. I can't see them, because I still have some belly fat, but I sure could feel them. My obliques are awesome. Now to lose the belly so I can see them. Patience.6

My large dress shirts and pants are starting to look baggy. Time to weed out the closet, I guess. Waist size is now 33, down from 48.10
