Thanks everyone. I want one for a lot of reasons. I need to lose the extra lbs I've put on and I feel like having one will make me want to watch what I'm eating more. Also at work I'm on my feet for about 10 hours, 5-6 days a week so it'll be cool to see how active I really am. Has anyone noticed that it's helped the with…

Peanut butter with a sliced apple.

Ok so my TDEE is roughly 2212 and my BMR is 1427. So what should I be eating?
-
My activity level is currently set to lightly active and to lose 1lb a week. 1360 cals is what MFP put me at.
-
Upper arms! I lost about 50lbs and hardly any of that came off my upper arms.

I'm 5'3, 139lbs, goal weight is 126 and I'm 26.

I don't know. I have it set to lightly active and to lose 1lb a week.

I weighed myself today on my new scale (without clothes and after eating and drinking at work) and I weighed 5lbs less than the Dr's scale. They use the large older mechanic style ones.

Thank for the replies. I've ordered some cheap but cheerful bathroom scales, I'm tired of guess work now!
-
Sounds dumb but I just weighed the clothing and shoes I wore on my food scale. They only made up for about 2.5lbs.

I'm 5'3 and am happiest and feel I look best between 126lbs - 133lbs. But like other people have said, it's what you think and feel that matters. I think you look great.

I am yes.

Ok, thank you. I'm currently averaging around 1400 cals a day right now. Hopefully the weight will start to come off.
-
I couldn't know for sure but without snacking I only eat two meals a day. One being my lunch and that's usually a small sandwich.

Thanks people. I did it, got on the bike for 60 minutes.
-
I find walking doesn't help me lose weight though. I usually do 45 minutes on a stationary bike, I was losing around 1.2lbs a week doing that.

That's a lot of calories but if you're willing to go without food in order to drink that much to stay within your daily calorie limit, then do it. I still drink beer and lose weight but I limit myself.
-
I manage to eat 1200 cals a day and I have breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. I just pre-plan my meals.
-
I drink mostly beer and cider. I've had the occasional white wine but I'm not a big wine drinker.
-
Just log your alcohol. As long as you stay within your calorie limit then you're good! I still drink alcohol and I've lost almost 60lbs.
-
If you're not weighing and measuring every thing you consume then you're probably over eating the 1200 calories.
-
Same as the others. I log everything except herbs and things like that. I log condiments and the milk in my tea, but I do guesstimate the milk but I don't have much milk in my tea anyway.

I didn't mean I was discouraged, I'm still going to keep at it and carry on. I know it's not linear but it still doesn't stop it from sucking when you suddenly see the scale number go up that much.

I definitely didn't eat over 7000. I knew I was going out to eat those days so I didn't eat much during the day. Do Doritos have a lot of sodium? I ate some yesterday and did feel bloated after them.

I've gone from 182lbs to 127lbs (I'm 5'3") and I've found the only loose-ish skin I have now is my lower tummy. I was overweight all of my teenage years and some of my early 20s so I'm not expecting it to go flat.

I eat 1200. When I first started out I found it hard to burn even 100 calories. Now I can easily do 300, you just have to build up to it.
