:) She does enjoy zumba. She was just starting to do it once in a while before she had major leg surgery a year and a half ago. That has prevented her from doing much exercise, which is just another wrinkle. But maybe some modified zumba could be arranged. She is chummy with the local zumba queen, so that helps.

I think this is pretty close to her mindset. I love my wife dearly, but if she has a character flaw to work on, it would be that she gives up on things if they are not easy and don't provide instant results. As most of us on this site know, that just isn't the way it works. She is not subconsciously fearing I will leave…

Thanks for this, this is kind of what I was hoping for. I am glad to see that this is something that someone else has been able to successfully navigate. Mine are for bags of potato chips...now available from Amazon.com! If you are too lazy to go to the store to buy your Doritos and Cheetos, Amazon will now deliver them to your house. Now if only I didn't have to walk all the way to the door....

Sunflower seeds are my go-to. Shelling them in my mouth keeps it occupied, and if you don't overdo it, the calories aren't too bad. 170 for about 1/3 of a large bag, which will usually last me a few hours. Sodium levels are pretty high though, but the seeds themselves are quite healthy.

*Any* seafood, mushrooms, cottage cheese makes me gag just smelling it, asparagus. I enjoy quinoa.
