  • Thanks so much everyone. I binged on pizza tonight and now feeling miserable again. Ugh 😑 I’m gonna start fresh tomorrow. It’s a shame cause I was good all day before that! My boyfriend tempted me but that’s not an excuse.... arghh . New start tomorrow. I’m definitely gonna read all your suggestions again and try not to…
  • Yey!!
  • 1,2,3 let me ruffle your tree 4,5,6 please give me some kicks 7,8,9 just dropping a line 10,11,12 please take me out of this hell Mentally, I'm stable But emotionally unable To provide this thing called stability Why can't I just learn to be happy? With what I've got Instead of trying to be what I'm not Find that love…
  • I would try adding some fiber to your diet...fruits & veggies and maybe even some healthy carbs ;) They are not the enemy, you know... good luck
  • I have this issue too and i totally can relate. I find when I eat dinner later around 7pm , and include healthy carbs (brown rice or quinoa or potatos) that it keeps me fuller much longer and I don't binge. I leave room for a snack after dinner . Also, going to the gym helps me stay on track. Not sure if you go in the…
  • Avocado toast is good too or Hummus & Tomato on Toast YUMMMM
  • I just had a roasted sweet potato for breakfast and it was pretty satisfying!! Anything goes really! Oatmeal is good too ...It fills me up more than yogurt or cereal and actually a bit healthier (i think?) . Overnight oats are the BOMB.
  • Not all soy is the same... Also, many foods have soy in it, even non-vegetarian products! Soy protein isolate, is in many processed foods, for example. Organic Tofu or Edamame is not the same as Soy Dogs or other meat substitutes. Not all soy is bad!! http://www.alloy.com/well-being/soy-products-good-and-bad/
  • Fruit sugar does not metabolize the same way as table sugar. It has many vitamins, antioxidants, fiber, and healthy nutrients that you give you energy and protect your cells. This is a MYTH that needs to be debunked!! Ofcourse Fruits are good for you!!! Animal fats and dairy is what you should stay away from or limit in…
  • Same here!! That's why when I don't work out I always have a hard time losing...but when I do cardio, specifically spinning classes (LOVE) I never feel as hungry and also crave healthier foods. It's a win, win! Plus the scale shows ;) That's a good thing!
  • Japanese Food!! I always go on dates to a Japanese restaurant because there are alot of low fat, healthy options. Also, some Mexican dishes can be OK, such as fajitas or rice & beans..even chips & salsa not that bad if you pre-log it in your daily calories. Also, exercising to offset any possible water weight gain is…

  • Please define "sick"? You mean like the flu sick or diarrhea sick?? If you adding alot of fruits/vegetables and high fiber grains etc...and not used to it, may want to slow down by adding in that stuff to your diet a little at a time. Your body just may need time to adjust. If it's just the flu or cold or…
  • I follow people on youtube...some of my faves are Happy Healthy Vegan and High Carb Hannah! It's helped me alot to get started. NikkiVegan is also good and she uses alot of Trader Joes products which I love because I shop there all the time!
  • You can live off of rice & beans...and it's one of the cheapest foods out there, especially when you buy in bulk. Beans are a complete protein. Just FYI ...The nutritional benefits are off the roof! Lots of fiber too...

  • What are your stats? Like how much protein, fat, carbs do you guys aim for? I'm all confused since transitioning to vegan.... not sure I am getting enough protein. That seems to be a common concern. Or any books you guys recommend?
  • Thanks
  • Everyone is having pizza today in the office :( I don't even want it though. Last time I had cheese pizza, I got a really bad stomach ache...not to mention the guilt . Ughhh... guess I will venture out to the deli and try to find something vegan friendly
  • Lunch ideas??
  • haha thanks! I will check it out!
  • That's cool. I may have fish once in a while too. I'm still weening myself off of cheese...but have definitely cut back ALOT. I'm a little more flexible with my diet and I'm trying to be mostly plant based too. So far, I haven't had any fish but I've thought about salmon a couple of times. Anybody Veggie-based is awesome…
  • Thanks! I will try to find Follow your heart egg substitute!
  • THIS . I was gluten free for 6 months one time and within a year, gained it all back even though I was still tracking calories...just because I added carbs back into my diet. It's better to go slow and steady in my opinion. Now I am kinda the opposite doing a vegetarian diet and i actually feel better than ever! I was…
  • Spinning and yoga classes are my go to. Yoga helped me immensely with depression when I first started years ago.... If you can, I would suggest trying it! Do exercise that you enjoy and it won't feel so dreadful!
  • I don't know if there is a cure for depression in regards to food, BUT I do know that ever since I started eating more fresh fruit , instead of other junk, I have been feeling so much more clear headed and happy. I've been vegetarian now for a few months and I feel better than ever. I'm not saying you have to do that, but…
  • You don't have to stop snacking! Especially if you are used to eating this way...I had to ween myself off of snacking slowly. Start with setting aside 150-200 calorie snacks before lunch and after dinner. You can make baggies with appropriate amounts of calories (instead of eating chips or popcorn straight from huge bag).…

  • Thanks! I'd rather eat fortified foods than take a supplement so that's good to know. I read that you only need a small amount of B12 in your diet and most supplements are way higher than what you actually need, but I suppose it's still safe. It's good to know there are options.
