Bigelow green tea with wild blueberry & acai. I steep it with fresh slices of ginger that I bruise a bit to release the juice. Store in the refrigerator leaving in the ginger and drink cold.

I like to brew up large batches of green tea with wild blueberry and acai and throw in slices of fresh ginger for a little extra bite.

Pop Chips are great! I like the plain ones with some roasted garlic salsa dip. The cheddar and sweet potato are good too.

Earlier a poster mentioned substituting avocado for the yoghurt. Equal portions of mashed avocado and yoghurt is good too. Caloric values for eggs seem to be all over the map. My research indicates 70 calories for 1 large raw egg.

Just a suggestion, but try making it with lentils instead of meat substitute.

Sara, your posts offer that which is most uncommon of all......common sense. Thank you!

My wife bought some Adonia Greek Frozen Yoghurt and I was prepared to not like it. Much to my surprise it was very tasty and, at 102g, a reasonable size serving. 130 cals, 0g fat, 24g carbs & 9g protein. So far I have seen it in Wild Blueberry & Mango.

"I ran a mile today so I deserve this cheeseburger." [/quote] At last! I've found the motivation to run a mile.

I love PB&J! Not to be a Killjoy but if you're scooping PB out of the jar with a tablespoon, you're probably eating more than the serving size. Perhaps a lot more. Use a scale and weigh it. I just discovered Earth Balance natural peanut butter with flax seed. Yum!

Sorry. Just noticed the reference to a tomato allergy. My recipe won't work.

Abs are made in the kitchen not in the gym as the saying goes. All the exercises mentioned are worthwhile for strengthing your core but you won't see any abs as long as there is a layer of fat over them. Eat fewer calories than you take in.

I like soft boiled egg on toast. The runny yolk spreads over the toast and eliminates the need for butter or margarine.

A quarter squat will work quads but not hamstrings. That will create an imbalance which could lead to knee injuries. Ask your trainer if he has ever heard of Mark Rippetoe or Reg Park.

I've made this a couple of times and really like it. Your stronger flavored lamb should stand up well against the more agressive spices. Spicy Lamb Shanks Servings:4 to 6 servings Prep Time: 25 mins Total Time:8 hrs 25 mins Ingredients * 2 large oranges * 1 1/4 cups beef broth * 1 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom * 1 teaspoon…

I don't have proportions so you'll have to play around with that but a combination of non-fat greek yoghurt, dijon mustard and lemon juice is very tasty. Add whatever herbs appeal to you, such as, dill, thyme or chervil and round it out with some minced onion or shallot. If the sauce needs to be thinned out a bit add some…

Rest day for me. Darn! Based on the topic title I thought this was going to be some inappropriate, politically incorrect guy thread. :embarassed:

Your grip problem may be related to lack of shoulder flexibility. Elliot Hulse has some shoulder stretches that helped me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scBJWKbUGX0

If you don't care for avocado there's no point in forcing yourself to like it. There's lots of foods out there that are good for you.

I quit smoking on 4/1/12 after a 48 year habit/addiction. My long term goal remains the same now as then…..stay smoke free for the rest of my life. My short term goal is pretty straightforward. In the next 6 months I want a flat stomach. To that end I am eating at a slight deficit to shed weight and body fat and lifting…

If I want to eat something as a substitute for meat it is rice and black beans, lentils or quinoa. Stuff that actually tastes good.

2x per month about the middle and end of the month. I'm trying to lose .5-1 lb. per week so I don't see any point in checking more often.
