Good for you! I quit April 1st, 2012 after 48 years of smoking. One week later I joined a gym and began working out thinking that replacing a bad habit with a good one was moving in the right direction. I gained about 18 lbs but have lost most of that since joining MFP in December. Stay with it!

I cook protein, fish, chicken & shellfish primarily, every Sunday and eat it through the week. I have never had a problem with it.

I think addiction would be overstating the case for me. I am surprised to find that I now look forward to it and experience a glow of satisfaction when it is over. Hmmmm. That sounds disturbingly like a sexual experience......but let's not go there.

The powder is expensive and I'm not sure it's really necessary for my goals.

You should count everything including herbs and spices. Individually they may not mean much but it all adds up eventually. More importantly, though, is maintaining the discilpine of tracking everything and logging daily.

A large head of cauliflower is 210 calories for a total of 450. Divide that by however many portions you think that will serve. 3-4 I would think.

Somebody referenced their frozen fish earlier and it really is quite good. The Turbot filet cooks quickly and will melt in your mouth. I aslo like their Mahi.
