Good for you! I quit April 1st, 2012 after 48 years of smoking. One week later I joined a gym and began working out thinking that replacing a bad habit with a good one was moving in the right direction. I gained about 18 lbs but have lost most of that since joining MFP in December. Stay with it!0

I tried doing both at the same time. Couldn't do it. The gum made my teeth feel numb and like they were going to fall out. So I said forget quitting for now. One thing at a time.0
