A few things come to mind - are you eating enough? !300 calories seems low if you are working out. Are you weighing your food? Being over by just a bit on each meal can result in no loss. Finally, take your measurements. You may not lose weight but you may be losing inches. Muscle is more dense than fat. A pound of muscle…

Let me play devil's advocate..... what happens when you stop going to tthe gym? You would be stuck with a membership and no reimbursement. I would suggest starting a home program first to see if you will stick with it before signing a contract. If youa re successful, then go for the gym membership.

Weigh and measure everything!!

AGREE - WLS should be a last resort. Give yourself another month and stictly weigh your food and log everything that goes into your mouth. Also, you can do modified push-ups and crunches, bicep curls, etc that will help burn calories and not impact your joints. I know walking hurts, I have pain in my knees too, but my pain…

I would change it to 'Light Active' and NOT count calories burned working at the restaurant as exercise. I would just call those a bonus. If you are eating your calorie goal and still feel hungry, then re-evaluate.

Use your body weight - lunges, squats, push-ups, burpees. These exercises do not require weights but provide great results.

I am in that boat right now. Had severe bronchitis - on the verge of pneumonia - went to the doctor and got anitbiotics. I continued to go to crossfit (3X's a week). I am now on round 2 of antibiotics.... so take a week to rest so that your body has time to heal properly.

How do you figure? 1 pound = 1 pound whether it's feathers or bricks!

'40 times a week, and even though I only squat with the 50lb EZ curl bar, I do like 60 reps...' So you are doing 2400 squats a week?
-
Weigh in grams..... not ounces, cups, half cups, etc..... I eat back some exercise calories each day butnot all. I seem to be doing fine!
-
Weighing. loggoing, and planning...... one without the others is not effective!
-
"I know 1200 cal is too low..." Increase your calories and make sure you are tracking everything you put into your mouht!
-
Is 1200 Calories Enough? Not for me..... I need 1500-1700 and more depending on my activity level for hte day!
-
I can find more productive things to worry about.....

Yes - do the 5k AND go to the gym. You will feel great - seems like this is pushing yourself outside of the comfort zone. Don't worry about DOMS - it goes away!

Sorry to hear you are sad... but let's be honest. - he was looking for a reason to leave and blamed it on your weight. He was a coward and didn't have the balls to be honest about his feelings. Good riddance to him - you are better off and will find someone that will appreciate you for who you are.
-
Sorry - I think you are being a little senstitive. I would expect this attitude coming a child. I hope you are losing weight to become healthy for yourself and not for attention and recognition.

Everything has risk.... including waking up in the morning. I will take my chances!

Can y ou open your diary so we can see what/how you are tracking? You may not be eating enough for all the exercise. Are you weighing/measuring all your food?

Nothing makes me want to go to YOGA. I think it's boring and too slow paced. If someone has to convince you to go, then you obviously don't like it either. Find something you do like.....

Congratulations on losing 50 lbs in a year - that's awesome. "I don't log everything," Here's your problem..... if you don't log/track your food, then how do you know what you're eating? How can we offer advice if we can't see the data? I suggest that you stop making excuses for why you can't log and just do it. It sounds…

I paid $100.00 for a meal plan..... BUT, the meal plan was specific to my weight and goals and the macro-nutrients were calculated for each meal using my data. The girl also based hte meal plan on when I woudl workout each day (evening vs morning) to make sure I ate my higehr carb meals at the right time. YES - it was 6…
