Our instructor just mentioned this week that we'd be starting 55 pretty soon. With the exception of a few tracks, all the instructors got tired of this one a little quicker than usual.

The gym and my walking route in the evenings - my husband isn't a gym member, so on my non-gym days, we walk after supper. We're pretty predictable...

I felt the same way when I started about a month ago. The classes at my gym are pretty crowded, and I thought someone might laugh because I didn't know the steps. Turns out there are always new people starting, and no one cares if you mess up. It's a super fun workout, and you'll make some new friends in the process!

I did my third 10k this weekend. The first one I ran the full distance. This weekend, using the 3:1 run/walk, I beat my best 10k time by about 1.5 minutes! As I get older, I think I this is one of the best ways to avoid injury as well.

I'm also signed up for a half-marathon the same day (my second). If it's really cold, an earband helps. My essential items are ipod and chapstick. I'm also planning to have a pack of Gu with me this time, because one of the stations ran out last year. I don't like to carry a lot of stuff on a run.

I'm Deanna - I'm new to this topic, but I just started Zumba a few weeks ago, and love it! I hate brussel sprouts and olives. Don't really care for fish, either.

Every so often, Publix puts them on buy one, get one. That's the only time we buy them - it makes them a real treat! I think we're about due for another sale...

I just had whole wheat pasta with meat and veggie sauce. I added a little ground beef/turkey to the sauce, and a lot of chopped zuchinni, yellow squash and spinach. Yum! I always buy extra lean gr. beef and turkey, and cook it ahead and freeze it, so it's always ready when I need it. That way, I only have to cook meat once…

I love Cream of Wheat on a cold day! It's not as filling as some other things, but it's not my every day breakfast. It's also one of my comfort foods - my mom fixed it for us when we didn't feel good.

Thanks - all of you! No matter what the numbers say, I know I am more fit now than I was 20 years ago, and that makes me feel pretty darn good. Tomorrow is another day, and another fun workout! :)

I have this for breakfast almost every weekday. I use the powder added to skim milk - I don't like the taste of the stuff in the can. It's quick and easy, and keeps me full longer than cereal or oatmeal. I also need the calcium, because I probably don't get enough otherwise.
