I haven't compared sodium contents, but I know that the turkey bacon I have gotten was significantly lower in calories and fat than the regular bacon.
-
I don't have any advice that wasn't already given, but I'm curious why you chose regular bacon over turkey bacon??

My mom has a thyroid problem, and for years I have had most of the symptoms of a thyroid problem. In fact, I just took a test the other day online in which I had 23 out of 30 thyroid symptoms. However, I just had a TSH test a few months ago and it came back normal. I know something is not right though, and that's why I…

I don't have any health problems that I know of. Lately though I have been thinking that I may have diabetes, so I have a doctors appointment this Thursday to see what they think. I'm probably just being paranoid, but I have many of the symptoms (excessive thirst and hunger, frequent urination, increased fatigue, blurry…

I really like Turbo Jam. You get a good workout and the time flies by. Another really good one is Hollywood Trainer CardioSculpt... it is weight training and cardio in one, and it will kick your butt. Every muscle will be worked!

I'm jealous!!! Today I started couch to 5K and the 60 second intervals of running about killed me. The day I run a 5k, I will be buying myself something nice!

Lentil Chili! YUM YUM

I started this today and I have some questions! At what pace do you walk and run? Today I did 3.4 for the walk, and 5 for the running part, but half way through I had to change to 3.2 and 4.5. I felt like I was going to die! The guy on the podcast said you shouldn't be out of breath, but I was the entire time. Also, my…

I guess I'm not really making sense; sorry! I know what my target heart rate range is (118 at 60% and 176 at 90%), and I understand that when working out my heart rate should be somewhere between those numbers, but I don't know what percentage of my max heart rate I should stay in for maximum results. Like should I stay…

I LOVE green tea, but just the plain green tea, not the weird flavored ones (like the Tazo kind). I make a gallon of unsweetened iced green tea every few days.

I have read that light intensity is 60-70% max hr, moderate intensity is 70-80% max, and hard intensity is 80-90% max, but I guess I don't know how long I should be in each level. Is is normal to feel light headed and weak when over 80%?
-
I have the Polar F4 heart rate monitor and I have it set to show me my % of max heart rate while working out. I have noticed that when I get above 80% max, I feel like I'm going to pass out. It's hard to explain exactly how I feel, but it's not good. Where should my heart rate be when working out??

I wish I could find a pair of Nike's that fit my feet but they all seem so narrow :(

Sabra roasted red pepper is the best!!! I LOVE it with sliced red, yellow, and orange peppers.

I have had many high end straight irons in my life, but my newest one beats them all! I recently got a Solia and LOVE LOVE LOVE it. My hair is course and this thing straightens it instantly without having to go over the same strands twice. Here is a link http://www.folica.com/Solia_Tourmalin_d1558.html

How is that any different than eating 1200 calories? Wouldn't your body adjust to that amount as well? I definitely plan on eating at least 1000 because I definitely think 800 is too extreme, but on this plan I am supposed to lose 2 lbs a week....isn't that a healthy goal?

No, the place is called scale-solutions. They didn't put any restrictions on carbs either, just calories. There website it www.scale-solutions.com

Well they said 800 minimum, 1000 max...but I definitely plan on eating more on the days I work out. I usually burn about 500 per workout, so I'll probably eat 200 or 300 more. I'm not in a huge hurry, but I can't handle going months without results again. Before I quit the first time I actually tried upping my calories to…

It's actually Phendimetrazine, which is apparently a weaker form of Phentemine, as I was concerned about getting jittery and such. And no, the 800-1000 includes protein calories. To answer some of the other questions: -I am 5'2 -I saw a PA who said that 800 calories was the key number to keep my body from going into…

Hello, I was a member for four months last year in which I only lost 10 lbs, 7 of which were in the first week. I maintained 1200 calories, and worked out about 5 days a week (eating the calories I burned according to my HR monitor). After months of not losing, I gave up. Now, I am 10 lbs heavier than when I started the…

I made these last night and they taste just like chocolate cake! Yum. The only thing that would make them better is some chocolate frosting and if they had less calories so that I could eat more!
-
So for months I have been at a weight loss standstill. I tried upping my calories from 1200 to 1400, I tried lowering them to 1100. I tried working out 6 days a week for an hour instead of 5. I was always eating my exercise calories but NOTHING. Well this week I have been really sick so I have been just eating what I…

I buy the Normandy Blend frozen veggies from Walmart (Broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, zucchini, and squash). What I do is take a non-stick frying pan, mince a garlic clove and add a little bit of olive oil and sautee the veggies. I will also add some kickin chicken seasoning to give it a little spice and sometimes I'll add…

How come so many people don't eat when they are sick? If anything, I am hungrier. I feel like hell and I just want to eat what I want to eat! Today I had taco bell for lunch for the first time in a LOOOONG time because I was not up to preparing anything for lunch. I managed to work it into my calorie intake and only went…

I thought I was one of the only people who thought that it was incredibly rude to recline your seat. Everyone says "Well that's what they are there for!" I'm sorry, but I personally don't enjoy having a stranger in my lap through a 6 hour plane ride. I also don't enjoy trying to get out of my seat with their seat in my…

For me watermelon and strawberries are by far the most filling for their calorie value! LOVE THEM

I used Chantix to help me quit smoking and to me it was a miracle drug! It is expensive, but in my opinion it was so worth it!

There is a Baskin Robbin's right by the Kroger I shop at. Every time I go to Kroger I get to see this huge add for that shake... I actually looked it up a couple months ago because I wanted it soooo bad, but I guess not bad enough for a whole days worth of food!
