Get tested and see what the eggs are doing for or to you. I eat about 3 whole eggs a day, numbers are better than ever personally.

Pick where works for you and note it, so you can repeat that measurement in a month or 6 months whatever frequency you'll use to see your changes over time. If YOU measure it at your belly button do it there the next time.

Dry is the only way you and another can cook the same pasta and get the same calorie count at the end of preparation. Take an amount of pasta, cook it until it's al dente (still crispy)... weight will be somewhat more due to the addition of water weight. Take that same pasta and cook it until it's on the verge of falling…

Save yourselves some time... many users of the site don't use the forums so you'd be missing out on their pounds contributed... the site already DID a calculation, though perhaps they're due for an update since this was posted a year ago today It's around this time last year that MFP posted a summary... which was 20…

MFP doesn't "calculate" the calories based on the entered macros, it uses on a serving size basis just what the user who contributed it to the database entered, so someone entering 70 calories for tuna but 0 protein would leave you down on calories but with "more protein" left than you should have remaining. Same can be…

Got to be something in the ingredients, maybe the saffron has more oil / fat added to keep the taste up? where the coconut can perhaps get away with just a bit of coconut for the flavouring? I looked real quick with google and both are available on Amazon but they don't show the nutritional info or ingredients list so no…

If you're going over the default setting for protein from MFP (15% of your daily calories) and you don't have underlying health issues saying to watch your protein then it's fine.. I set my protein to 35% of my daily calories to get close to my goal of 1 gram per lb of lean body mass..

Track it whatever way works for you, the "water" counter is a picture of a glass with a number on it (since we've established in the thread that a cup is a "measurement size generally recognized as 8oz especially when referring to water as per recommendations. If your only glass (bottle, beverage container) whatever is 16…

Eat when you can, workout when you can. If that means for your schedule you get up at 4 am and do a 30 minute run because it's all the time you can squeeze, fine. if that means.... you don't workout until 10pm and can fit in 30-60 minutes... fine... activity is activity...

At right around that same weight (haven't weighed since last week when I was at 337 i think) I've just been walking, and doing some swimming, nice low impact... had a gym membership but gave it up as it was too much hassle working to get to the gym, walking around the neighbourhood costs me nothing, and it just coming up…

Got one of those topsy turvey style planters going right now, figured at $2 each at the so-called "dollar store" they were worth trying, seems to be working great so far, though the plant does want to grow as they would normally rather than hanging down, anticipating some problems with the produce weighing the stem down.

Here on MFP it tends to be used to "flag" a topic so it shows under "my topics" so you can find it easier later when you want to read it. Forums generally are sorted by most recent posts, so the original user BUMPing their post brings it back to the top so more people can see it. If you're on your computer at home CTRL-D…

here on MFP it does 2 things, notice the threads are sorted by most recent activity, bump contibutes a post to the thread bringing it up through the order to "most recent" for viewing of others, but also, due to MFPs set up, it "flags" the thread in "my topics" so you can come back and read it later. But when that happens…

The recommendation for water is 64 ounces, but it is greatly disputed whether you count the water component of tea, coffee, juices... things like watermelon etc, as in the body doesn't care where the water comes from it'll take what it needs and eliminate the rest. Recommendations change over time... IE sodium is on MFP by…

http://www.astropopcandy.com/ Returning for the first time since 2004 Not that I remember having them, just for the poster lamenting their loss :)

If you're going from "nothing at all" doing a walk around the block is a start, see how long it takes you, the next time you go out for a walk try to go a bit farther in the same amount of time... and build... either time or distance as you go. The pool CAN be deceiving, just being in the water floating around isn't much…

Sadly some of the reality tv options are better than what passes as staples of network television lately, they seem to toss the good shows and keep the crap endlessly. Instead of another post I edited to agree with the post below me... either "bad ratings" or the "wrong demographic" watched it rather than who they targeted…

Just FYI, if your food diary is open so is your exercise diary, friends can go to the bottom of your food diary and click through to the exercise one. (OP indicated in their text that they were unsure if exercise was open or not)

Currently it's the different volume settings they have not only between stations (certain ones will blow you out of your seat when you have it turned up to hear the quieter ones) but between the shows and the commercials. Thankfully the end of August is supposed to see the end of this practice here, with commercials and…

Swimming has always been my go to, it`s extremely low impact, it`s just not always fun climbing out of the pool and taking back on the feel of all that weight the water was supporting. Just motivates me to do it again and get the weight off. I bike as well, but buying the department store bikes I`ve been bending frames in…

what is your activity level set to? consider bumping it up a notch if not two if it's at sedentary, as that's far from sedentary... but then you'd not need to log all / as much of the exercise.

Community > Groups do a search there and you should find some options

Buying in "bulk" also known as going to a store like the "bulk barn" and scooping from a bin of protein powder that is "closed" to air until you open to scoop it in there won't BE a scoop in your "bag" of loose packed bulk purchase. They don't hide the scoops in the bins, but at the bulk barn they DO have a "product card"…

Heck i was glad to see 337 on the scale today, not an actual weigh in though as that was at the end of the day... but that's 8 lbs down from 10 days ago so .... something about summer is working for me....
-
Did you happen to change your chosen rate of weight loss at the same time? Were you down a bit from your last update so you were due for a decrease (ie at 9 of 10lbs lost before you'd get prompted to update your settings?) in which case you're seeing a decrease but not as much as it would have been without the extra…

I haven't yet but I may well look into it, always looking for "new" spices to flavour up the food now that I don't plaster everything with salt.

Ingredients 1 tbs chili powder 1/4 tsp oregano 1/4 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp onion powder 1/4 tsp cayenne 1/2 tsp paprika 2 tsp ground cumin 1/8 tsp mustard powder (optional... I can't stand the slimy yellow mustard from squeeze bottles but the powder.... yeah I'm good with that) mix it up... add more chili if you like…

Summer is my most active time... or was before... mountain biking, hiking, camping, canoeing, kayaking, caving (spelunking) swimming, fishing and being active like that I wasn't just seated around parties with trays full of food to nibble at, I'd have what I had or we'd stop at various small stores during our trips but i…

colour scheme may "suit" your theme but I find the contrast hard to read the bright pink on white background... your original post mentioned "fetch" as per what you do with a dog (around here it's "go fetch" or simply "fetch" when playing with the dog but that's probably like the wallah / voila thing just a regional…

Jumping back in with the last post... I will choose full-fat versions of condiments such as miracle whip / mayo even salad dressings etc as to make it still tasty sodium can be used... such as "miracle whip reduced fat" 120mg of sodium per teaspoon... while the original full fat version is 90mg per tablespoon ... or I can…
