Thanks everyone :) My goal is around 160 grams. You're right about the fat, though, I should not worry about it on my low-carb days ;-)

A nap.

Hey there, looks like we are almost twins (although you are 10 pounds lighter than me!) If you don't mind, I'll send you a FR!

Hey there! New here as well, though I've been on MFP for 4 years now :) Age : 36 5'7 - 170 cm Highest weight: 175 lbs Current weight: 150 lbs Goal: 135 lbs Current body fat: 23.5% Goal body fat: 18-20% - as I was told this is ideal for triathletes, and I am one! Will try to find my "twin" as well :)

Thank you, Foamroller! :)

Someone once told me: it takes 3 months to get in shape, 3 weeks to get out of shape. I think it's pretty accurate ;-) I've been a runner for 3+ years now, and currently training for a half-marathon. Running will tone up your leg muscles, especially the calves and harmstrings. But it will take a few months for you to see a…

I agree with the poster who recommends the Band-Aid Blister protectors. They're made of silicone and if you put them on making sure your skin is clean and dry, they will stay in place VERY well. They have been life savers for me.

It really depends on your frame and build, but I'm 5'7 and my goal weight is 135. I'm currently 142. My lowest weight ever was 128, but I really didn't like myself at that weight - I looked really skeletic! Best of luck in your journey. :)

I am!! I was supposed to run the half in Montreal on Sept. 5 (2 weeks to go!), but I had emergency surgery on July 11 and couldn't run for 3 weeks after that, so I downgraded my registration to a 10K.

Happens to me too :) Thanks for posting this question, I was wondering why it was happening!

The answer is YES - you definitely need to eat the exercise calories.MFP has already calculated a calorie deficit for you to lose the weight, without accounting for the workouts you're getting. In the long run, if you do not, your body may go into "starvation mode" and store calories instead of burning them to prevent…

Sounds delicious, thanks for sharing!!

The only problem with eating too much fiber is that it can cause constipation if you do not drink enough water.

Hey, sounds like fun - I may check it out!! Thanks for sharing :)

Yum... yes, a nice drink tonight with DH sounds wonderful. :)

I had the same problem this week, but with my right hip - saw an osteopath, and it turns out my sacrum was "stuck" and my hip/lower back/thigh muscles were tight and swollen from compensating. If you can afford it, I highly recommend seeing one. I've seen tremendous improvements in only one session. :)

Any TSH reading above 2 is suspect of hypothyroidism. Do you have any symptoms? Do you have any lab ranges with your results? They are important to know exactly what's going on. Did you also get your free T3 tested? And antibodies? (anti-TPO, anti-thyroglobulin)? As a hypothyroid patient & advocate, I know a lot about…

Hey there! I'm a young mom of 2 as well, and also Canadian - I live near Montreal! This site is wonderful, I'm sure you'll have success! I'll add you as a friend, if you want. :) Best of luck to you!

Oooohhhh... that sounds SO good!! I'll have to try it. :)

That's great that it's working so well for you!! I'm actually a little jealous... I have to snack in the evening because if I don't, hunger will wake me up in the middle of the night. :(

The jacknife and other exercises where you lie on your back and lift your legs (they have to be as straight as possible) will work your lower abs for the first part of the movement. What I do is that I lift them up just a bit - maybe 1 ft or so - and bring them down without having them touch the floor. HTH!

I'd like to suggest something, but I'm afraid there are too many things to take into consideration: your stride (pronator? supinator? neutral?), your foot arch, the type of surface you most often run on, your budget, and, most importantly... comfort. Which only you can judge. :) I suggest going to a sports store and…

Hi, I've been running for about a year now, and have never been able to breathe in through my nose... Interesting topic. I'd like to know too. :)
