I always go over the alloted amount for fiber intake, is this helping my weight loss by going over or not?

What is your fiber set at? I think the one that MFP usually puts is 15 grams and to be honest, that is pretty low. I changed my goal to 30 and usually get from 30-35 each day. Recommended for women is 25-30 I believe each day. There is such a thing as too much fiber but I would bet that you aren't getting too much.0

The only problem with eating too much fiber is that it can cause constipation if you do not drink enough water.0

I'm so glad you asked this question.. I was literally thinking the same thing 5 minutes ago! My fibre amount is also set at 30.. I try to get as much from bran, fruits and veggies, but also just bought some benefibre today...So I was just wondering the same thing...0
