  • Hi everyone, added some miles. [IMG][/img]
  • Great advice from this blog. So what, if you have to work at night, meaning your mornings are other peoples afternoon? And your evening is other peoples early morning? My shift changes every two month and I adjust easier to the night schedule then the day schedule.
  • I am hungry sometimes as well when it is bed time, especially if I did not drink enough throughout the day. Then I fill up with water and sometimes it subsides. Thirst sometimes appears to be hunger. If I feel for sweets I add fresh lemon or lime juice to the water. Sometimes I am good until the morning and sometimes I am…
  • I am in. It will keep me motivated to report to others. Finals in my University class are done, so I have more time to get going.
  • It is also amazing how our bodies adjust to an impact(run). You state you run at a very decent pace 7-8 min is pretty good. You got to change it up, do fartleks, speed training, hill training, HIIT. All these training units will also increase your stamina and speed, as well as increase your calorie burn. I made the same…
  • As others stated, stopped logging for a while and gained back about 3-5lbs. So I caught it on time before too much damage. Some may say, that;s not much at all, but considering that I only needed to loose about 18lbs these 5 are a struggle. I got to comfortable and stopped logging, but kept exercising. So, I guess I wasn't…
  • Very inspirational story. I am sorry for your loss. Keep going. YOu have further information for donations for your cause???
  • First of all "Congrats on loosing 19lbs in a month" :flowerforyou:  . As you said, she followed your previous lifestyle and you feel quilty, having her led to the path of obesity. (I don't agree with that thought). That was her own choice, even as a younger sibling, she can think for herself. Even if you have been a…
  • I read most answers here with great interest. I believe that eating habits are passed on from learned behavior, but also from genetics. If you are the +2, +3, or +4 generation of obese parents (even with just one parent obese) it will become genetic, as shown in lab tests in mice. It is called mutation - your fat cells and…
  • I hope you meant eat more fiber and then poo it out later.....LOL   ...because I really don't want to eat poo  Why is everyone so sensitive and offended??? :noway: :frown: if you post a questing, be prepared that you get an answer you may not like, besides the "trolls" which may come out of hiding.…
  • I did it for a while and lost inches fast, not so much weight. it toned as well without bulking up. Just printed out a new 12 week plan to get back on it. The only structured weight plan I can stick with, since it is sooooo simple and doesn't requires hours of hours in the weight room.
  • I can only second your post. I even can't lay off running, even not recommended by my doctor until after surgery. it is relaxing and addicting at the same time and I experience some of the moments you discribe and others have mentioned. Well said.
  • You are just doing it for a month - did you gain the weight in a month? Give it some time and let your body adjust. If your clothes fit better and you could keep up with the increase in the scheduled workout, take that as a sign of success :drinker:  . Keep going what you doing and you will see out of the…
  • I eat full fat cheese vs the low fat, because low fat cheeses' have added sugar in it. So I'd rather have a "healthy" digestible fat then additional carbs theough sugar in my food. The sugar will spike your blood sugar and may create hunger earlier then enegry from a fat source (unless I had already an abunace and…
  • ....it always amuses me - a lbs of muscles is heavier then a lbs of fat - It is an oximoron in itself. A lbs of muscles has less volume then a lbs of fat, that's why you may not loose weight, but slim down some..:glasses: ...after your workouts chicken wings and pizza......you know how long of a work-out you gotta…
  • ^.....because blood is just a fad diet.... PS: I haven't laughed this much at any other threat.....and thanks OP to take it with humor.. :flowerforyou:
  • All that grease made me already having acid reflux by just looking at it. :noway: Some 20 years ago I would have probably tried to eat it with most likely succeeding, but today......no way :frown:  To the girl......maybe she had to feed her 'tapeworm" ....don't let size fool you - some of the "competitive…
  • Fatcity66; I am in the same situation and work nights (from leaving the house until I get back it is often 14-16hours). I value my sleep as well, since weight gain and unsufficient sleep are related. As you said; constatnly salads gets old and fad, but joghurts, cheese, nuts and such as well. That's why I often use protein…
  • 165.3 lbs this week. Not much move here....:frown: ....congrats to all who lost weight and keep going and stay motivated to all who are stalling.............
  • LOL...it comes also in strawberry and vanilla taste as well......
  • I use the protein drinks to help me staying in my calorie intake range and upper my protein intake. For some reason I can't get it done with my diet. My food log is open but I have been very inconsistent the last 3 weeks....yikes :embarassed: . Protein shakes keep me longer full, so I will not snack in between meals or the…
  • You look very skinny (without the intend to affend you) on your profile picture. So, it sounds about right with you body fat. you shouldn't go lower. Athletic doesn't necessarily mean muscular and bulky.
  • Cycling anytime I have time and active member of Camden Cycling Club. We ride Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings. I ride a "Scott" and it is an awesome bike. I like to mountain bike as well. Always looking for new trails in Southern Georgia or Northern Florida.
  • Thanks for the reply. I already noticed that walking on crutches is a workout in itself. I already have the crutches and on days when my foot hurts bad I already use them to take of some pressure and pain. The procedure will be done as an outpatient, so I will not be in the hospital besides the day of surgery. Due to work…
  • Wowh, that is a great transformation. That will keep me motivated. You are a great inspiration.
  • I am at a similar situation and have fallen off the wagon a little. After cutting my calories intake to my new weight I came to a complete stand still. Now I am hovering between 163-167lbs, depending what I ate and if I had a work-out. Haven't logged consistently the last two weeks and need to start doing this again…
