  • I'm an engineer, so I like math and logic. The way I see it... There are 3500 calories in a pound of fat (approximately) If you maintain weight at 2000 calories, then to lose 1lb/week, you'd need to net only 1500 calories/day. (500 calorie deficiet * 7 days =3500 calories = 1 pound) I like to look at my weekly net intake…
  • I don't know about you guys, but for me, maintainance is ~1600. There are about 3500 calories in a pound. To lose 1 pound a week, you'd have to have 500 calories less every day. Which would put me at 1100 calories/day. I try to stick around 1200 net. I almost always eat ~1500 calories a day but net less than 1200 with…
  • Age: 24 Gender: Female Married? No Kids? No Goal weight: 130-135 Current weight: ~140 Height: 5' 6" Favorite exercise: Lifting Least favorite exercise: Cardio Pets? 1 dog Calorie goal: Net 1300/day Special dietary needs: none How often do you work out? ~5 times/week. 3 lift days, 2 cardio days Current program you're using:…
  • I like to lift at least 2-3 times a week and do cardio the other times. I don't mind going to the gym. I know it's "me" time. But it's still exhausting not to be able to have time to check my email or go grocery shopping. I have to save all my errands for the weekend. Also, I'm pretty good about watching what I eat. I just…
  • I had this problem. I promise it goes away. Once you get into a rutine and go at certain times every week, you may even meet some people (yes even meatheads) that are on the same schedule as you. In my experiance, most everyone at the gym is very friendly. Just yesterday I was benching and I had two 5 lb weights on each…
  • Add me if you like!
  • I always take my "real" weight in the morning. But I do weigh myself from time to time throughout the day and I always fluxuate. I drink 2 liters of water at work ~5lbs, plus food, you don't get rid of it all at once.
  • Feel free to add me. I could always use more friends. 24, from Washington state.
  • I'm always looking for friends. Feel free to add me. 24, from Washington (State, not DC haha).
  • Me... 5'-5" or 6" depending on which doctor I go to Age: 24 HW: 155 LW: 120 CW: 145 Goal: 130-135 Feel free to add me! I could use some motivation.
  • 5'5", currently ~145, I want to get down to ~130-135
  • I weigh myself daily. I don't record daily though. I don't think it's a bad thing to weigh yourself every day so long as you don't let it run your life. I like to do it to see my progress. Even if I don't lose anything. It helps me know when I'm likely to weigh more based on what I eat, time of the month, how much water I…
  • Sea food. Any and all kinds. Yes, salmon, shrimp, shell fish, sushi... Just the smell of it makes me gag.
  • I went out to eat with my boyfriend last night and got corn on the cob instead of fries as my side. I actually like corn on the cob better, but before I would have just taken the fries without asking what other sides were available. I also was full after half my hamburger and instead of stuffing myself full of the rest of…
  • Well for starters, I don't have any kids. A LOT of respect to those of you that do and can get back in shape. I couldn't imagine how hard that would be. But for the most part I just go jogging 2-3 times a week ~2-3 miles. I try to do interval stuff too. Like sprint for 30 seconds, walk for 90. But I didn't belong to a gym…
  • Thats what I'm here for! haha. For the record, I'm ~5'6", maybe a little less (depending on what convienient store I'm leaving). In this pic I'm ~135 and that swim suit is a large top and an extra large bottom. I can't fit into jeans that are less than a 6 (Most of the time, but you know how brands are). Just so people…
  • You're metabolism changes throughout the day depending on when you eat. That might have something to do with it.
  • It's good to see other people live in the desert! I moved out here a little less than a year ago. Live in South Richland. I'm origionally from the Seattle area so it's been a little bit of a culture shock. haha.

  • Haha, yea. I like to pretend my boobs weigh around 10 pounds. Even thought I know it isn't true. We could all dream right? haha
  • Yea, part of what helped me get to my heighest weight. The 2 before pictures were taken on Thanksgiving. haha
  • "It's real nice. Got it at target. It was on sale." haha, no but really. I did get it at target on sale for less than $25 for the top and bottom (I'm cheap like that). Thanks everyone! You guys are what makes losing weight bearable.
  • Thanks for all the words of encouragement even though most of you couldn't see my photos. haha.
  • Ok, sorry guys. Photobucket was being weird. I had to change where the photos were to make it work. They should be working now.
  • Yea, tell me about it. haha. I moved here last summer. I'd have to wait for the sun to set before I could go out jogging because it was just too hot for me. I don't know how people jog in 100 degree weather.
  • Bump. I don't have any as funny as your guys' but I do look forward to reading them :).
  • Same here. I'm in.
  • I know it's a long shot, but is anyone out there living in the Tri-Cities in WA? I don't have anyone here willing to go jogging with me or do anything to help me with my weight loss. I'm new to the area (origionally from Bremerton, WA) so I don't know many people. I don't care how much you have to lose or where you are at…
  • Yea, I know about the search, I just didn't want to ask random people that might not be looking for the same thing as me. I know it's a long shot posting on the message board, but I figured it was at least worth a try.
  • Haha, How'd you guess? I'm an engineer for the Hanford tank farms contractor.
