Busy Schedule and Finding Time for the Gym

Hey guys, I was hoping for some advice from all you busy people out there that still find time to work out.
I go to the gym for ~1.5 hours 5 times a week. Normally I go right after work, but now I've got more on my plate. Monday - Thursday I wake up at 5:30, go to work and don't get home till 5:30pm. I tutor from 6 to 7:30 Monday - Thursday as well. I've been going to the gym 8 to 9:30 and in bed by 10 pm to start all over the next day.
My problem is that I don't feel like I have much time to myself. I could get up earlier and go to the gym in the morning, but that would require me getting up at 4am, and going to bed earlier so I can get enough sleep. Unfortunatly I can't do much for working out at work since I work at a nuclear site and it's frowned upon to go running outside (that and I'm 45 min from the nearest town).
Do any of you have the same issue? I was just hoping for some helpful hits or even just a "you can do it!" Just feeling discouraged and exhausted from the schedule.
Feel free to add me as a friend if any of you are in the market. I can always use more support.

I totally understand the busy schedule and finding time at the gym. I don't know about you but when I go to the gym, that's my time so I actually enjoy it. Maybe cut your time at the gym to one hour and give yourself 30 minutes every day to just do whatever you want.0

Busy schedules are daunting arent they! I understand you're grief. I agree with sovannac. They gym should be time for you. Have you thought about cutting it back to one hour instead of 1.5? Also, there are so many tools on the web for intense result producing 30 minute workouts. That would give you 30 more minutes back to your day. Keep in mind most results start and end with what you're eating. therefore, controlling and being mindful of your food will also help with the results you want without having to spend 1.5 hours a day in the gym. Good luck to you and you most certianly can do it!0

I ran into that and decided to go back to doing my workout DVD's. I have a collection so I can switch them up. I had to, because working 8-5, having 2 kids that have homework and sports and then trying to fit meals into that is not easy. I'd rather do a 30-45 minute workout in my living room, then have to worry about driving to the gym.0

So don't go 5 times a week. I find lifting heavy is the best use of my time. I go to the gym twice a week (only takes 45-60min for a full body workout) and lift at home with dumbbells once a week on the weekends. I also have a bike and a stair climber. I try to use those for cardio 2-3 times a week but it's not a big deal if I don't.0

I like to lift at least 2-3 times a week and do cardio the other times. I don't mind going to the gym. I know it's "me" time. But it's still exhausting not to be able to have time to check my email or go grocery shopping. I have to save all my errands for the weekend. Also, I'm pretty good about watching what I eat. I just have a better time saying in my calories if I get some gym time in.
I do need a rutine to keep myself going back to the gym. Maybe I'll take your guys' advice and cut back during the week and go more on the weekends. That way I can have at least 2 evenings off durring the week.
Thanks again for the advice.0
