I weigh myself every 10 days. I know most people do it every week, but for some reason my body likes to drop weight in 10 day increments. So I don't fight it!
If you are having trouble staying away from that scale, ask someone in your house (that isnt afraid of you!) to hide it. I have my fiancee do it, and he KNOWS to only pull it out on specific days. :laugh:0 -
i was the same way! now im weighing in every month! you can see a bigger loss that way to0

I weigh in about every two weeks, I am not obsessed with the scale (anymore) but I tend to measure myself more often...I can say that I am a little obsessed with inches more so then pounds.0

I weigh daily... I don't get frustrated though... I know what I am doing when I eat and if I enjoy the food a little too much, I know there is a price to pay for that. I've been in a rut for about a month but now I am getting serious again0

i weigh myself wayyyy too much as in, at least once a day.
Old habits die hard
really tried not to weigh myself more than once a week, and i managed for the first couple of months of weight loss but now i cant stop
its super disheartening but never mind.0 -
I weigh myself twice a week (about every 3 days), and I measure myself with tape twice a month.
Sometimes it's tough to stay away from the scale, but I leave mine out. It makes me feel proud of myself when I can resist it until my next weigh-in.0 -
I am still working on my addiction to the scale:blushing:
I weigh myself every morning, first thing. I do an official weigh-in where I take hip/waist/body fat measurements every Saturday morning. I try to focus more on my measurements....
Like I said, still working on my addiction to the scale....
The important thing is to not place too much value on what the scale says. You have to remember that your weight fluctuates throughout the day for various reasons. If it is too depressing for you to not see a loss, I'd recommend weighing yourself less often. It doesn't bother me, personally but I know it takes away a lot of others' motivation when the scale does not reflect their hard work. Do what works best for YOU.
Good luck!!0 -
I try to weigh in at the end of the week after all the hard work of exercising and eating good!! It helps me make better decision for the weekend. I usally see results after 5 days!!!0

I weigh myself daily. I don't record daily though. I don't think it's a bad thing to weigh yourself every day so long as you don't let it run your life. I like to do it to see my progress. Even if I don't lose anything. It helps me know when I'm likely to weigh more based on what I eat, time of the month, how much water I drink, etc. That way, say if I gain 3-4 lbs in one day, I know it isn't from food but from water or something. If that happeded to be the day I weighed in if I only did it every week or 10 days or so, it would be much more discouraging. For me, it really helps me stay on track, even when I only see the scale go down by 0.2lbs, it is still motivation for me.0
