I don't own a heart rate monitor (I've done a lot of research and can't justify spending the money on one), but I do have pedometer which gives you calories. I know it's not accurate but it was close to what MFP says on just about everything. I just used the pulse on it.

Always ask your artist mama, it's like your doctor for tattoos. I've worked in tattoo shops and can tell you the sports bra isn't a good idea. Leave the jiggling at home (lol... I'm not going to log it..... but I'm not going to eat my weight in food. Enough to enjoy it but not kill what I've accomplished. It only comes once a year which means I only get some of those foods once a year.... I want a little of everything... and I'll bust my butt after to make up for it. I like gravy....mmmmm
