though i've basically been wanting to lose weight since i was 11 (sad, i know-- i'm 20 now), this past year i turned down going out with my friends on the weekends because i felt too unattractive at my weight in comparison to the rest of them. that was the final straw, and so i'm devoting my last summer at home to making…

thanks everyone, i'll try to look at the ceiling next time, and i think i'll start putting a towel under my bum to keep in the "tuck" position that you were talking about. i've seen that on an abs workout video before. i'll also try the bicycle crunches too. i usually stay away from those because they work my legs more…

such great results! you look so much leaner, keep it up! :)

well then my source was correct! :)

a friend of mine told me to check out plus-sized stores-- lane bryant was the example she gave me-- to get sports bras because they cater to larger bust sizes. i have yet to try this yet though, so it's just a thought. i'm a 40DD and i usually just wear sports bras that are just a tad too snug to strap'em down.

I love veggie stir frys that i make for dinner the night before, and bring in leftovers to work. My favorite is green beans and carrots, and i add it over some rice or barley that i make at the beginning of the week. So delish! I am still figuring out the best way to stir-fry and roast veggies, so i would google it and…

Yes, they were all piled on top of another, so that makes sense. And I'll remember that about the different cooking times. Thanks for the help, everyone!

i know this is after the fact, but when I go running around my house i loop my key around a ponytail elastic and either wear it on my wrist or tie it around my ponytail.

what brand of scale do you use? i'm looking to get one but am at a loss as to what would be something good to have.

go streaking, maybe actually let people see my belly button piercing (got it pierced a month ago for my birthday and as extra motivation), and probably just be half clothed all the time. i don't think i'll buy new clothes, instead i'll probably just be naked. a lot.

hii :) i just finished my first year of college, and am going to be a sophomore this year, and i did unfortunately gain the freshman 15 :( seriously, there is a LOT of late night eating.. in college, you can basically get ANYTHING delivered to you at night, so it's a lot about will power. just because it's there doesn't…

my favorite part about the ONE semester of high school pys ed that the school required (not nearly enough) was the teacher bringing in several different kinds of fitness instructers to teach us for the day. we did pilates, yoga, kick boxing, zumba, cardio dance.. all sorts of different fun workout classes. it probably…

I talked to an employee at Barnes and Noble, and he said that basically, if price is no option, you'd be better off getting a iPad than the Nook because a Nook is basically like a stripped down iPad. Though, depending on what you are reading, the Nook Color has the really cool option of looking up words in a dictionary by…

NEW SHORTS! I am going shopping for a new pair of shorts every 10lbs I lose! Nice ones, kakhi or white! My biggest insecurity has ALWAYS been my jeans/shorts/pants whatever because i hate my thighs and stretch marks, and I can wait to parade around in SHOOOOOORTS ! :)

dear gosh, i hope so lol

MEEEE. i didn't do it today, but i'll join tomorrrow :)

don't assume that! you're definitely not alone in feeling like you are inconsistant, because i'm the same way. but everyone has their days, and a lot of people go back and forth with being "in the zone" so to speak, and being super focused, then back to slipping up 24/7. it'll get easier! maybe, if you feel like you need…

Yep! I go to IU and want to race in the women's race next year (hopefully!). I'm training for my sorority's team, and trying to pretend like those crashes and all the scary stuff doesn't actually happen lol.

The bike is strictly for stationary work-outs, and is in a trainer stand, so it's raised slightly off the ground. The seat is parallel to the handlebars, and I can't touch the ground when sitting on the seat, but I couldn't do that even when it isn't mounted to the trainer. I tried biking while sitting straight up, but it…

1200 is the number you need to keep your body working normally, any lower than that and it sends you into starvation mode, and your metabolism shuts down and your body starts storing all you're eating because it thinks you're malnourished and is saving up food to use later. I suggest increasing your calories, and trying to…

BUMP. but really, do these work? they are like 3 dollars at walmart.

Thanks everyone! I had no idea about the high sugar/low protein of Slimfast, and I really like the test-- especially the Chocolate Roayle!-- so I wouldn't mind it at all. I'll do some more compare and contrast and look into a cost/nutritional benefit before I decided which one to actually use. I would love to try…

In dorm room when I'm too busy to devote the time to get to the on-campus gym, I just turn on some music and go crazy. I dance like crazy in front of the mirror, pretending I'm preforming or on America's Best Dance Crew or whatever. My favorite is Glee music because you can really get into the "preforming" part. Then add…

thanks for posting this!

okay, so I'm not crazy, and that does sounds low! My dorm has a lot of vegan/vegetarian options, and it's one of the "eat right" places on campus, so I assume it's usually healthier, but like 160 calories for my piece of cake was a bit ridiculous, lol.

i learned to pay attention to my body and my limits, not the limits that i think i have. and not to get hung up on the small things, like how far/fast you can run, because tomorrow you know you'll be able to run further and faster than before anyway.

Oh dang.. that really sucks, doesn't it? lol
