  • I am in the same boat as you @beastmode_kitty. This is my 3rd time starting EM2WL. This time I am in it for the long haul. Ran into the issues of the scale not moving fast enough so I started eating less to see results then ended up feeling tired all the time which led to overeating anyways :( Ive been back at it for 2…
  • W8D3 COMPLETE! I still cannot believe I did it and am running for 30 min straight. Now I am not running a 5K in 30 min but I will get there. It took me longer to finish this program because I did this totally backwards. Believe it or not I have never ran a 5K race but have done 3 1/2 marathons in the last year ( 2 of them…
  • I agree slow down. You will be able to get faster after you get used to running. Its not about covering any distance at this point but just running for the amount of time for that day. Once you do this and have more runs completed you will get faster.
  • W8D1 done! 2 more until graduation :) I actually ran longer then I was supposed to because I was feeling good. Looking back to the first week I would have never thought I would have made it this far. Dont get me wrong I am a very slow runner but a runner none the less :)
  • W7D3 done! Excited to start my last week on C25K!
  • Just finished W7D2 WhooHoo! Almost there!
  • Finished W7D1 on Ease into 5k Ran 20 min/Walk 3 min/Ran 5 min. I still cant believe that I am running 20 min straight. Today was easier then my last 20 min run and I am looking forward to 26 min for my next run! Im still super slow but I know I will get faster over time. Getting closer to graduation!!
  • Thank you both! I am going to take one more day off since I am still sore and then go for the 20 min to see how it goes.
  • Ok So I have done things a bit backwards. I have never ran a 5K event but just finished my 3rd 1/2 marathon this past weekend. I did 3 min run/1 min walk intervals for most of the Nike SF 1/2 and beat my time from my last Disney 1/2 marathon by 5 mins and my last year's Nike 1/2 marathon run by 15 min so I was happy…
  • W5D1 Complete!!!! I peeked into next week and cannot even imagine running 20 min straight by W6D3 (doing ease into 5K). Still slow as a turtle but still getting through. I am starting to get the runners high when I am done which I love!!!!!
  • I finished W3 and I am so happy. The run was great and I am looking forward to moving onto W4D1 tomorrow for the first time ever!
  • Thanks everyone! Going out shortly for my W3D3. I am super excited because i have never made it this far so if I have to run at at turtles pace that is fine with me! Wish me luck!
  • What helped me is to take your measurements and go by how your clothes are fitting vs worrying about the number on the scale. In the last couple months the scale hasn't moved much but I have lost a ton of inches and I am wearing a smaller size. Its easy to get discouraged when the scale isn't moving so I only weigh myself…
  • I am still new at all this as well but have you taken your measurements? Have you lost inches? I know I gained for a couple weeks but I also lost inches in those same weeks so the scale is not always your friend. Scale may be going up if you are gaining muscle but losing fat. I ended up having to stop weighing myself every…
  • First congratulations on your success so far. I am new to this as well but this worksheet created by Heybales helped me tremendously in figuring out how much I should be eating with the weight I wanted to lose. You can use the simple sheet to get the basics down. Weight Loss Calculator spreadsheet for BMR/TDEE deficit…
  • Thank you for the encouragement! I am weighing daily just so I can understand what is happening with my weight and so I don't freak out more later. I guess I am already freaking out but I am going to stay with what I am doing and I am sure the scale will drop again soon.
  • Thanks! Clothes are still fitting and I am noticing some more defined muscle definition in my arms and legs. I do need measure again soon but I was trying to hold out until I finished 4 weeks. Easier to hold off on measuring unfortunately then it is on hopping on the scale.
  • Thanks heybales! I know I have to get better at the diary on the weekends. I will keep doing what I am doing. One good thing is I do have my energy back and my skin is looking great.
  • Thank you heybales! BTW I stumbled across the spreadsheet you created last night and it was eye opening. I adjusted some of my numbers because of it and I think I should be on my way now. Thank you soo much for putting that together!
  • Thanks for the advise! I was eating initially when I started back up on MFP at about 1400 cal a day which is what my target was when I entered in my data. I was only doing this for 2 weeks and started working out the 2nd week of this but tried to eat my workout calories back. Do you think I need to eat at TDEE to reset or…
  • I would like to join please :)
  • Hi! I just started EM2WL a week ago and just getting adjusted. I am still struggling with eating more and not weighing myself everyday. I was too scared to do the reset as I was already probably eating more than I should and since I have a lot to lose I started with my 25% CUT per Scooby's website. Will I still expect to…
