  • She has been in homeschool last few months due to bullying issues that caused me to pull her. But yeah kids at school and at her gym started telling her she is big and has thick legs/butt. So it’s been a bit rough.
  • I was my full height at 13, about a year after I started my cycle.
  • I had really hoped she would leave the sport after what happened with her back but she did everything she could to heal. She said it’s who she is and she wasn’t ready to give it up. I have been one stressed momma!
  • She isn’t really on a diet she just doesn’t drink sodas, doesn’t eat a lot of snacks, and loves animals so she is vegetarian. If you ask her what her favorite food is she will say a salad lol!!! She is very into her sport and always wanted to be in her best shape. She has been doing this since she was 7 and it’s a huge…
  • My daughter is almost 15 and her height has remained the same for over a year now and she has had her periods for over a year now as well. The doctors think she is at her adult height. I am sure the calculations have to be wrong somewhere. I just can’t figure out where as she really eats the same things almost every day…
  • Thank you I will get a scale and try that. I seemed to do good with mine so I figured I was being pretty accurate with hers
  • What is the best kind of scale to get?
  • We do measure things out like almond milk, vegan butter, cereal, veggies etc with measuring cups and spoons. I do not have a scale so maybe that’s the issue. What sort of things do you use a scale for? She does not eat meat.
  • Our treadmill tracks the calories unless it’s off or something
  • As of now she is eating 1200-1400 a day in calories. Keeping an eye on carbs, sodium, fat, and sugar. She is burning at least 500 a day in the treadmill alone not counting practices and privates where sometimes she tumbles for two hours in a day.
  • Could she be eating too little?
  • We have been using mfp a few months. I knew it was great because I used it a few years ago to drop 40lbs. Back in January we were hoping for her to loose 12lbs in 4.5 months. So we had plenty of time. Well she would drop like a pound and then gain it back. She is stuck at the same weight basically even adding in the extra…
  • We have been logging in what she eats in mfp and food wise she is where she is supposed to be. She only drinks water no soda. To explain a little more she does competitive cheer. She was a flyer and a tumbler who between privates, classes and practice was in the gym every day of the week. Due to all the back extension she…
  • I just wish there was I knew the right way to do this. When half the people are saying go down in calories and half saying go up it makes it confusing. Both seem to have there reasons behind it as well. My friend has lost 50lbs eating about 1200 a day but then again most say thats too low. I am really getting depressed…

  • I guess I am just confused....I don't know what exactly you mean by net calories but I get no exercise unless you count my vacuuming or mopping. I don't go by the calories MFP chooses I go by 20 percent down from my TDEE.

  • Yeah it is really hard to know what to do when some say to cut them down and some say to increase them

  • Well I don't eat meat so I have been looking for some ideas that are veggie only that are not so carb heavy that I can make at home. But it seems most here are suggesting I am eating too little since I only have about 18lbs left I want to loose? I just want to get these last ones off and since I have continued eating the…

  • So how many more calories should I increase? I feel kinda scared

  • Ok looking at my past logs here is what I have come up with. I had set my MFP to lose just 1 lb a week. The calorie intake it is requiring is less than what my TDEE and BMR are telling me though. It has me at eating only 1320 a day but like I said I have been trying to keep it around 1500 so I usually just go over around…

  • I don't work out at all :( I have school during the day. I clean my house and do homework when I am at home and in the evenings I take my daughter to cheer because she does competitive cheer leading. On the weekends we do stuff as a family, I do more homework, and I take care of my cattle that are an hour away. Maybe that…

  • Wow that is kinda a bummer since I have only lost 8 lbs :( I know I only needed to loose 25, which isnt a big amount but 18 seems so far away and going so slow now

  • I currently am fluctuating between 146-138 and my goal is 130. I am aiming at just loosing the 1 calorie a week. Sadly most of what I eat is boxed since being a mom/student keeps me quite busy and I don't get to make fresh meals often. I do however log everything I eat. Including if I use condiments etc. Could you tell me…

  • Only thing I was wondering about is I clean my whole house at least 3 times a week and that takes several hours at a time so didn't know if that counted for anything
  • I just now started about 2 weeks ago going to weigh this evening
  • Yeah I had already changed it to 1lb a week. I want to adjust the activity to the best possible
  • I have another quick question should I be putting my exercise level at sedentary or light? I have it currently at sedentary but would vacuuming and cleaning and all that be more light activity? I see some people saying you should set it at light that sedentary is too low even for those that don't exercise.
  • Both the MFP and the WebMD are saying I should eat 1200 to loose weight. I have talked to people on here last few days explaining to me that the MFP is not exactly correct and I need to calculate my BMR and TDEE. So I am looking at more needing like 1450 calories a day according to that. Its odd that the WebMD told me to…
  • I am not sure how correct this is because it is saying I should eat 1200 calories to loose weight here, but many on here are telling me thats too low because its under my BMR
  • Thank you for all your advice. It may be a metabolism issue, I will definitely look into that. At the moment I am not sure if I should try eating more or eating less. I had a complete physical last year with my reg doc and my gyno cause I was feeling over tired and they said everything in blood work etc. is perfect. They…
