I'm looking forward to the combo of using both MFP and Hacker's to break through my multi-month plateau.
-
Yes, I'm giving it a try after a friend used it to break through a plateau.

... I'm updating the whitelist for the firewall rules and I actually have to write some code later.

Why? They have the rest of MFP for that .. it's pretty much a girls' club anyways.

1) Walk away from the aerobic bunnies and drive some iron. 2) Ditch the scale, use the tape measure. 3) Be kind to yourself - millions of people would give vital organs to look so good. Tightening up my belt a notch is something I can actually feel all day long, a number on a scale disappears as soon as I step off it.

We're not ..

If you remove all artificial sweeteners (yes, all the "diet" drinks) plus any food that is "white" (over-processed) for a week, your cravings will almost disappear. If you can go 2 weeks, the next time you try something sweet or white, you may find the taste disgusting.

One less person in the world to interact with ..
-
We humans are designed to constantly eat tiny amounts all day long, and drink water all day long.

I can have up to 5, depending on how much water I drink.

Cook it in a stock, like chicken, beef or vegetable. I prefer wild rice ..

Even though I really dislike morning workouts, whenever I travel, it's the first thing I do. I get down to the in-house gym as soon as it opens and get at least 30 mins of a weight circuit out of the way. I usually work out every second day when home, but when on the road, I make it happen every day mostly because of all…

It may just be the PF you are going to. The one I go to has 4 weight cages, 8 benches, dumbells from 2lbs-100lbs, an up-inclined leg press and 2 sets of fix-weight barbells to 100lbs each. There's always more equipment than people using it.

Circuit training ..
-
For the 30-minute express I just use "circuit training".

Maxed out the stack on the leg press!

I start all of my workouts on the 12 minute abs. I could barely do 5 reps of any exercise. Since June, I can easily do 20+ reps at each station and I worked my way down the weight stack, one every 2 weeks. Just get started ..

Been there, done that. What is your strategy for next time? When the server comes by with the bread, immediately say, "No thank-you, I'm on a low carb diet." They will understand! When the pizza arrives, take 2 slices. Scrape the topping off one slice onto the other and put the bare piece of bread back onto the tray.

I have a reward for every 10%. When I get to 190, a high-pressure turbocharger from TPC for the little missile and a week at Bondurant's driving school.

Sadly, intellectual and emotional development for most people comes to an abrupt halt after graduating from high school; it's as if they never left the playground. Simply view the ugly behavior as symptoms of retarded emotional and intellectual development, add the person to the lost cause list, and move on. I'm actually…

One of the problems with online discussions is that it completely removes the ability to be able to reach over and slap or choke some *kitten* who needs to be slapped or choked, therefore, there is less of a deterrent. The other problem is over time, many people start behaving as if their online community is a part of…

Out-lifting and out-pacing a group of high school seniors through a 60 minute circuit. They may have looked prettier, but they didn't get the compliment from the cute trainer.

Skip the scale, what is the tape measure telling you?

Cucumbers and turnips make great crackers! I make my own hummus without oil and use that as dip.

I certainly do since I'm moving stuff and climbing stairs all the time. I just chop 25% off the time to compensate for the really effortless stuff.

There is actually a group for us: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/1326-planet-fitness I do the Abs circuit and 30-min circuit every second day. I also toss in some back exercises. I figure when I'm down another 30lbs, I'll switch over to free weights. I'm losing 1-2 lbs a week and that's a fine rate for me.
