I miss babywearing too! It was truly a sad, sad day when the Moby was retired. :(

I am so glad that you posted this! I am seriously struggling with this right now and it's making me crazy. I have lowered my calorie range and upped the amount of exercise I'm doing. I'm drinking water like mad and feel like I'm losing (clothes are fitting better). I just dont see it in the scale. I feel better knowing I'm…

What about a Moby? http://www.mobywrap.com/ I used one with my daughter and I loved it because it was so versatile. I could carry her in the front or back, in a cradle carry, etc. And the other nice thing about them is that they're safe to use until about 30 lbs. Good luck!

I lost another pound this week, for a total of 6 lbs lost and 4 more to go! I am going to work those last 4 pounds off if it kills me!!!

I lost 1 pound this week, for a total of 5 so far and 5 to go!

I have lost 4 pounds total, with 6 to go by Memorial Day. Last week was a bust. Easter hurt...I gained 1.5. This week, Ive tried to up my walking, water intake and reduce my calories and lost .2 from my last successful weigh in. NOT giving up!

Thanks for posting this...I've been wondering myself!
-
UGGGGGG. I maintained this week. No loss at all. While I am happy that I didn't gain, I am mad because I made good choices, drank lots of water, etc. BOO.

As of this morning, I am at 191. 3.8 down, 6.2 to go! :D

Checking in: Starting weight: 194.8 Today's weight: 192.2

I totally agree...your supply is established and balanced at this point. Exercising, along with healthy eating and lots of water, shouldn't cause any dip in supply! I nursed my daughter (now 4) until she was 17 months. BEST DIET EVER. Sadly, once she weaned, I didn't stop eating for two. Which is why I'm here.

Hi everyone! My starting weight today is 194.6. I am really motivated to keep seeing that decrease in pounds, rather than an increase! Feel free to add me as a friend!

I'm in! Let's do this!

Hi and welcome! This is a wonderful site. Feel free to add me!

we are mostly meatless in my house, despite the fact that my husband is a huge meat eater. I use Morningstar crumbles in with chili and for things like stroganoff. I also find that mushrooms, especially portabellos are a good substitution for meat, as they add good smoky flavor. I make lots of soups - chili, white bean,…

I agree with everything written here. Write it down. Be accountable for it. Think about what went wrong and try to learn from it. You're human. We all are. Everyone has a day like this from time to time. The important thing is to be honest about it and you are.

I love to see all the nursing related questions on this site! It makes me so happy. I nursed my daugter for 17 months, when she weaned on her own schedule. Breastfeeding was a great calorie burner for me and I often say it was the best diet I ever had. Of course, in addition to nursing, I was watching everything I ate…

I would add extra calories (look on www.kellymom.com or www.llli.org to see how many calories nursing burns) to keep your supply up. Keep drinking your water and eating oatmeal too...that will help with supply.

Hi and welcome! This is a great site...very helpful! p.s. my daughter's middle name is Calliope! Do you play the calliope organ?
-
I used Nut Butter from the Body Shop while pregnant and I think it helped. I still have some but they aren't and weren't vivid.

I make these spicy black bean cakes and my family DEVOURS them! http://allrecipes.com//Recipe/spicy-black-bean-cakes/Detail.aspx According to the allrecipes site, they are 219 calories per serving.

Breastfeeding burns a TON of calories! I lost about 35 pounds while nursing my daughter for 17 months. Sadly...once she weaned, I kept on eating like I was still feeding 2 people. Maybe look on www.kellymom.com or www.llli.org for info about calories burned. Those were always my go to sites when I was nurisng.

Totally agree with this! Also, I would go to the tattoo artist, tell them your ideas and see what sketches they come up with. You may be suprised with what the artist creates for you, based on a short conversation. And I think this is an AWESOME idea to reward yourself for a job well done! A word of warning…

Carina73, I am so sorry. (((hugs)))

Sweetie, I think we've all been there before. Dont beat yourself up. Just start fresh today. You're human. The biggest thing for me is to think of this whole adventure not as a diet but as a lifestyle change. I cant focus on what I'm restricting or giving up because then I become obsessed with it. Instead, I try to focus…

Hi ladies! My name is Jessica and I'm currently trying to lose weight before TTC baby #2. Ideally, I'd like to get pregnant in the late fall or winter of this year. I was overweight and had gestational diabetes during my first pregnancy and would love to avoid some of those problems this next time. I blame all this weight…
-
Hi! I'm Jessica, 33 and mom to a 3 year old girl. As of my first weigh in, I was 200 lbs. My goal is to lose at least 60 pounds. I've had success losing weight before, mostly with Waight Watchers. The problem is that I dont follow through and before I know it, I end up putting all of the weight back on. So far, so good…

HI and welcome! I'm finding this to be a super supportive place - feel free to add me as a friend if you'd like!
